Deck Description

This is what I run in standard. It seems to fare well against most decks. The biggest challenge I have faced so far are junk reanimator decks. Some W/U/B flash decks can be a pain too. My sideboard has been pieced together to deal with those specific threats as well as others.

How to Play

Basically this is a pretty straightforward agro deck. The biggest advantage Naya humans has over other agro decks is its ability to be highly aggresive yet capable of defending itself. There are so many viable choices for sideboard cards currently; these are ones I chose to deal with the threats I see most often.

I designed the sideboard to be very simple to customize between games. I love the consistency that the main deck creature-base provides, so I opted to simply side in/out the 5 spells. Here's my general plan:

Mirror matches/aggro decks using mountains (red deck wins especially) : side out searing spears for volcanic strength. Drop one on a champion or a creature you have soulbonded with silverblade for a fast win. I also side in the gruul charms for their ability to make my dudes unblockable by ground-pounders. Most agro decks I face are lacking in the flying department.

Control: boros charms for sure to deal with board wipes; 2 thalias to slow down their instants/sorceries. Depending on the ammount of flashback spells they use, I might even side in some rest in peace cards as well. These are easily dealt with by a control deck, so timing is key. Side one in and wait for them to make a mistake, then cast it to wipe out their graveyard. I usually just toss in one as agro can usually beat a control deck pretty easily.

Reanimator: 3 rest in peace for sure. If it's junk, it will likely get abrupt decayed or duressed, so use it cautiously. If this becomes a more popular deck, adding some selesnya charms to the sideboard/main might be a good idea. Its ability to exile a creature with power 5 or greater deals with Thragtusks and Angel of Serenity pretty well. Depending on the deck, you may want to throw in some gruul charms, play slow, and then bash in for leathal.
