A fast-ramp aggressive deck, feature Heartless Summoning and some unusual synergies... Birds and Elves give some early acceleration into your larger bodies. Left unchecked, they'll quickly establish board presence. Say hello to Myr Superion, e'rrybody! But, if your opponent decides to clean them up, he'll find more surprises. Splinterfright is made to eat up your cheap guys and deliver the beats. Now you don't have to feel so bad about losing your main sources of acceleration! The deck is called "Summoning" for a reason... Throw out a Heartless Summoning and your gameplan is slightly different. Your Birds and Elves won't look so hot (but then again, they don't need to with Splinterfright around!!!) but you've got free 5/6 baddies, cheap card-draws, cheap removal, etc. Control the board, throw out a Splinterfright, and establish huge board presence with powerful creatures via cheapened casting cost. -------------------------------- Here are some thoughts to consider: * Chancellor of the Tangle is not the greatest fatty, but it's early bonus can be huge with a Turn 1 Summoning or extra early Birds of Paradise. And then again, it's not a BAD fatty in the long run... this deck is all about speed, and 2x Chancellor can be a HUGE play! *Obviously Birthing Pod is a possibility here... Birds > Viridian Shaman > Phyrexian Rager > ??? > Slime > Wurmcoil > Sheoldred... just trying to find the 4cc, and find room for the Pods, etc. * I've considered a number of other new directions for the deck... Unburial Rights to get more use from Splinterfright's milling, Equipment like Mortarpod for an extra bite + keeping 1/1's alive after Summoning, etc. ... I'm still working in other directions if anybody has any ideas.
