In a 2 color deck, may I suggest taking out Counterspell and substituting 4 Mana Leak? It's a really wonderful counter.

I first saw Phyrexian Etchings used in conjunction with Drake Familiar. It was an impressive pairing, and funny because Drake Familiar was the only creature in the deck. I like your design here, I've only been playing for about 2 years now and have been curious about the real might of the Phyrexian faction. Glad to know it's not all about Infect creatures and lame poison mechanics.
If you still need more draw power, I know a creature that also fits into your sacrifice theme. Moriok Replica is low cost, has Sign in Blood stapled to it, and it can help your Mortician Beetle get big. Also, the fact that he's an artifact creature means he can potentially chump block an Etched Champion, and that can be worth a lot more that you'd think in Standard Constructed.
Pariah's Shield may be equipped to Stuffy Doll to make matters worse for your opponent.
Try cutting it down to a solid 60. I'd suggest removing the Demonfire and the Seals of Fire. Ajani Vengeant works with your deck's theme.
Tangle Angler is a great creature to have late game in an infect deck because most people don't realize his ability can be used to target multiple creatures, allowing the rest of your force to get through and poison them to death.
If you really wanted to cash in on proliferate with red and blue, and if you like drawing cards with steady progress, Pyromancer Ascension could be really powerful here. An active ascension will copy your Steady Progress, drawing you another card and allowing you to proliferate again and get your other ascensions online as well as leveling up your creatures.
I suggest Electrostatic Bolt for tossing at Stuffy Doll. Otherwise, Flame Slash from Rise of the Eldrazi should work beautifully with Repercussion.
It looks aggressive. On the facet of legacy, have you considered Electrostatic Bolt as removal in the sideboard? There's plenty of cute artifact creatures that it could zap.
I was thinking of making a deck just like this; I'm in awe of the potential that little minotaur has to offer at level 6, but 16 mana is way too much to sink into one card over several turns. The aid of Thrummingbird really should allow Lord of Shatterskull Pass and Brimstone Mage to shine. The inclusion of Venerated Teacher is an obvious must. On the facet of noncreature construction, that mana base looks a little shaky. Only 20 lands for a deck with a clunky mana curve is dangerous, not to mention the complete absence of fetchlands and other nonbasic lands, such as Cascade Bluffs or Crumbling Necropolis to fix your mana. There is absolutely no reason to not be able to cast anything in your hand due to the constraints of basic lands. I learned this lesson the hard way with my own dual and tri color decks. All that being said, Lord of Shatterskull Pass itself is one of the few levelers that doesn't even need to be fully leveled to be potent. Being that he could be cast in a deck like this turn 4 and attack turn 5 after you leveled him up to a 6/6, it would put him far ahead of the curve due to his almost nonexistent drawbacks.
Also consider Jace's Erasure in conjunction with Howling Mine or Temple Bell; their library will go at rougly twice the speed of yours. This can make a big difference in those long games favored by blue decks.
Grindclock, when used right, can make tome scour look like a bad cantrip. Another great card for any mill strategy is Memory Erosion; multiple copies in play makes your opponents' libraries leak into their graveyard quite fast depending on how much they rely on casting spells. Kills burn decks dead.
Might I suggest Reckless Scholar? When your opponent has no cards in hand, it can be difficult to make those mind rots hit home for your caress or megrim. My friend ran a deck with 4 caresses and 4 scholars, and man it hurt. I regularly lost 8 life per turn from one creature causing me to draw and discard. Works fine for mill decks too.
Have you considered Summoning Trap? It eases the cost of your humongous creatures with hideous mana costs by letting you get them out of the top of your library at instant speed. It's a staple of the Emrakul deck in standard and extended right now.
Good concept, and l like the clever nuances of the stack being abused so harshly. It feels great to be a red player. @ surewhynot: Reverberate is a functional reprint of Twincast, which itself is a functional reprint of Fork, which is a red spell. Also, you don't need to reverberate a Lightning Bolt to do lots of damage; think about burn spells with X in their mana cost; Reverberate copies those. Think about cards like Quenchable Fire; reverberating that produces a whopping 6-12 damage for only 6 mana. I've been devastated by the latter combo countless times. Reverberate is far from irrelevant.
Very nice concept! Have you thought of including Quest for the Nihil Stone? It synergizes quite wonderfully with Bloodchief Ascension and Blightning. That said, this looks like a standard deck; With the amount of fetch lands you're running, you might consider Plated Geopede as a backup beatstick. 7/7 First Strike is not fun to be staring down the barrel of, and most Titans can't take that.
This is probably the most fun deck I've ever built, and the one that most extensively uses nonbasic lands in my collection. If I wanted it to be tournament ready I would have stripped out the Dragon Appeasements and slapped in some more spawn love in the form of brood birthing and awakening zone.
