Deck Description

Because who doesn't love Gelectrode? Anyway the deck is semi-budget and was built with 3 izzet duel decks and some scraps I had lying around. The sideboard is a better landbase (which is difficult to get your hands on)+ some removal. Won me FNM a couple times and has generally done pretty well whenever i played it.

How to Play

Tandem Lookout makes almost everything else in the deck a draw engine when soulbonded, and wins the game when paired with Niz-Mizzet himself. The deck is chock full of removal, and you can Isochron most of the removal, for more repeatability. Really the deck is pretty straightforward and is played draw-go style, occasionally tossing out a creature..

Deck discussion for Control with love

Interesting deck! I used to run something like this.
I made use of things like serum visions and manamorphose to pump a grapeshot. If you have a guttersnipe, the storm can do some major damage too :))
You might wanna take a look into Spellheart Chimera or Nivix Cyclops. Magma Jet and Electrolyze are great options as well :)

puppyloafer : storm does not work on gutter or all other spells, because it is not cast.

706.10. To copy a spell or activated ability means to put a copy of it onto the stack; a copy of a spell isn’t cast and a copy of an activated ability isn’t activated...

Good job. Blue and red decks can be quite aggravating to play against. I don't think I would love to play against this one.

What do you find yourself using the Scepter on the most?

deprive when i can get it. But most often izzet charm because it is what i most commonly have. plan c is cyclonic rift, and in 4th place is lightning bolt. Mana leak is generally no good, because if they see it coming they can just play around it. Izzet charm is almost a mana leak and it has other options, making it almost as good as a hard counterspell like deprive.
