This is my first attempt at making a mono green Vengevine deck. I know most people prefer to splash Blue or White in Vengevine decks, but I think this is very viable as mono Green. The deck works simply: Utilize Fauna Shaman to discard Vengevines and fetch cheap creatures such as Wall of Vines and Overgrown Battlement. These walls serve as a triple purpose in this deck: 1. Protecting from weenie or rushers and air 2. Producing mana the more you have on the field 3. And Allowing you to easily bring Vengevine into play from the graveyard with only 2-3 mana. If you can't work Fauna shaman, you have other options! Use Momentous Fall to sacrifice your Vengevine, then use the cards you draw to cast two more creatures and BOOM Vengevine is back! Don't have creatures in hand? Try Beast hunt as a last resort to return Vengevine from your GY. Vengevine is the feature but Gaea's Revenge is a finisher for this deck. I don't believe I need to explain the need for Asceticism. Leyline of Vitality will allow your life to get pumped each time you get creatures on the board, and most effectively protect your Vengevine from lightning bolts. Nature's Spiral is to help return one of those cheap walls or even a much needed Enchantment to keep you in the game. The sideboard is developed to counter any Pyromancer Ascension or Control decks. Remember to utilize Oran-Rief, the Vastwood to pump Vengevine each time he returns to the battlefield. Feel free to comment. I think this deck would be very successful.
