Ah yes, the Allies. Truly one of the best and most difficult decks to face. All of it's versions have been entertaining and no doubt this will continue the legend!

Lenny would be proud lol. The sad part is that I really like the blue zombies from Innistrad but there aren't enough of them for a full EDH deck. I have been working on a grave deck using the Sultai colors and cards, and I added a bunch of the blue zombies to it. So it's a spiritual Geralf deck =p
Looking great! I may have some creature recommendations for later but you already mentioned that you'll revisit that later. I had a few spell suggestions but I think you have it covered. Regardless, what I was going to suggest were Lightning Helix and Destructive Revelry. Armadillo Cloak might also work in the deck but it's an aura so it's a one time thing. The enchantments you have pretty much do all the work in the deck, clearing your opponent's board and such. I love the combo of Cream of the Crop and Lurking Predators. If you have both out, that is simply cruel lol.
Huzzah, Vampires! Welcome to the clan >=]
Nice idea, somewhat of a tribal, certainly a nice theme, but it's just far too slow in my opinion. You have the ramp, but.... this is a very late game oriented deck. You wont have much to block with, no life gain to offset the early aggression, and sure you don't need to rely on the Hydras as you can use the Magistrate to pump up the other Elves, but you essentially create one threat at a time which you know my decks well enough to know that just wont cut it as I'll remove every last one of them and then you're left with nothing. If you reach late game, things will look great. For example, if we're doing one of those 4-6 person free for alls and you're ignored for most of the game (which we know wont happen, but hypothetically speaking...) you can have a frightening board. Issues: No ways to deal with early aggression other then to sac your elves which you need for ramp, no healing to offset the early dmg, spells and enchantments all focus on the theme (which is fantastic) but going for a late game theme is tricky as I've already pointed out, you'll have trouble getting there against most decks. You don't have spells to interact with your opponent's boards. Fliers will be a nightmare for this deck, early aggro and swarm decks are a giant pain, control decks can render your efforts ineffective. I like the direction this deck is going but I would say this isn't complete just yet. It needs work before it's ready to be playtested.
Something I feel the deck is lacking, is some way to take advantage of all the tokens. Right now you can swarm the opponent or just use them as chump blockers, but I feel it's still a bit of wasted potential. Red and White both have dozens of ways to pump up your entire army and I feel you could find some room for at least one of those spells (4 copies) and use that as a finisher. Otherwise this is just a very slow 'poke your enemy to death' style and that can get boring and having a strong finisher like an army wide buff one combat round could prevent an opponent from coming back into the game and makes your opponent hate you less for dragging out the game lol.
Welcome back good sir!
Thank you for the like good sir! Completely agreed, the biggest issue with this deck (more so than the easy counter via graveyard removal) is the fact that the theme requires you to focus so hard on your own deck, that you virtually have no way to deal with your opponent's board. The sideboard is currently other strong cards that can be swapped out for others but I agree that there needs to be more responses for your opponent. That's the tricky part about the Skaabs. Dispel isn't enough protection. Mana Leak and more direct removal would be great additions =]
Love themes and tribal decks. I play casually with friends and we always try to come up with those sorts of decks, and never use the same theme/tribe as another player. I have some for you to take a look at if you're interested. I also always try to make a deck on a budget and try to keep it around $20. Hope you enjoy!Satyrs: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/satyrs/Ninjas: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/try-and-stop-me/Ogres: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/game-ogre/Beasts: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/its-a-beastly-deck/Elementals: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/elemental-mastery/Fungus: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/fungus-tribal/Skaabs: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/stitched-zombies-15/Skaabs V2: http://www.mtgvault.com/cspence1010/decks/stitched-zombies-20/The Skaab decks were a personal joy to make. No one else was trying to run them and even the rarest cards for the tribe became very cheap. Same with the Satyrs, they seem to have been shoved under the rug, but I wanted to make them into a deck since I first saw previews for the block. Fungus, Ninjas, Beasts, and Elementals I had inspiration from other decks, the rest are original.
This deck is perfect. I've gotten tons of friends into Magic but sometimes it's hard to keep their interest in a game that's so complicated with rules and what not... this deck is easy to use and great for beginners!
Congratulations good sir!Best of luck with everything!
Why thank you good sir. Yeah the elementals have a lot of ways to play efficiently without relying on mana heavily, and Flamekin Harbinger is a fantastic one drop. With Icadescent Soulstoke and Rage Forger, she can be a threat later on in the game which only makes it better.
Nicol Bolas shows up, sees the Canyon Minotaur, turns and flees... why do you think he's always plotting for power and sending out minions?
Players think Planeswalkers freely roam the planes... the truth is, they are all running from the Canyon Minotaur...
Nothing's wrong with it. I'm just saying it isn't my style so I wouldn't make a deck like this. I wanted to like it purely based on the title and wanted that known =]
I'll be honest, I don't love the deck. It's a good deck don't get me wrong, I'ts just not my style. Not sure what suggestions to make as my friends either have or are making Knight decks and its not my preference. However, for the name alone... I have to give it a like. I just can't resist. That sir is too good.
Yep. Deranged Assistant is in the sideboard for that exact purpose. If you feel its necessary, feel free to swap him out with anything else. In the previous design I didn't utilize Rooftop Storm at all and it isn't vital here, it's just nice to have.
That's why it's there in the sideboard. I agree it's great and could be moved into the main deck for more aggression. The focus on the deck is to attack without having to worry about your opponent being able to block, whether their field is tapped out due to Blustersquall, or your creatures are unblockable due to Teleportal. Still, in other situations you are right!
Thanks. Yeah as the title suggestions (and I'm going to update the deck description) it's one of multiple versions. I run Goliath in a few of them. I wanted this version to run a bit faster which is why I decided to drop Goliath. Aside from the mana cost, most of the creatures in the grave would likely be exiled for Skaab Ruinator. I might end up posting one of the other versions that's mono blue and does include Goliath as I was thinking earlier I do miss him.
That's not a bad idea at all. I was going for block constructed which is why I didn't look for anything like Artful Dodge. Teleportal is fun overloading on all of the creatures as well, but Artful Dodge is the superior choice outside of block constructed.
