Deck discussion for CDR Eldrazi Abuse: Updated!

An Omnath deck without Seedborn Muse? For shame!

LOL at Spousal Abuse tag.

Avacyn's Pilgrim is not legal in a mono green deck. Try replacing it with [ANYTHING].

Avacyn's Pilgrim is legal in mono green it just taps for colorless but it does make more since to use arbor elf instead.

Glad someone got a laugh out of the Spousal abuse thing...kinda what I was going for. But yes Seedborn Muse is definately a must, when creating these decks sometimes its easy to overlook some really obviously good cards...hence posting the deck list on open forums like this :) so ill consider it, Just not sure what to remove from the current listing.

Avacyns pilgrim brings me happiness because it can put me at an advantage of an extra mana, not just untapping a forest. soo potentially avacyn's pilgrim can put me ahead one turn oppossed to keeping me with the same amount of mana for a turn like the elf. Birds of paradise was another option but i like a creature that can inflict an extra damage or two.

It's not legal in the deck. It has a white color identity. You will need to use any of the dozens of other options for a one drop mana creature. You have no use for colorless mana anyway since it still empties from the pool at the end of phases.

Thinking about adding Defense of the Heart in this as well!

Avacyns pilgrim is legal in this deck, his ability generates colorless mana (rule 4 of deck construction for EDH)

I am wondering why it is that you only have one of the kaldra artifacts i understand its affect is great especially for omnath when he gets big but why not put all three in? Also how many poison counters do you need to lose in commander?

*After reading your latter comment first before posting this* Technically you only have 10 poison counters in EDH, I haven't noticed a rule yet that has changed that rule...which makes Blightsteel collosus a huge timmy card. A lot of times I'll bare with my opponent and even let them have a cap of 20 poison counters. if you happen to find a ruling on the EDH site that mentions anything about poison counters let me know. yeah the kaldra artifact aren't really beneficial when you already have creatures that are big (so that rules out the sword) and the shield is nice but a lot of decks i go up against use removal so the shield doesn't really help.

ok so for awhile now i have been looking to adapt this to make it better if i could and also maybe fit my own style a little more but to be quite honest i can not find anything to change in this deck i disagree with my earlier comment on the kaldra artifacts very good job on this deck!

I appreciate that, I've been trying to perfect this deck for awhile now. :) After Dragon's Maze if you wanna mention anything feel free to, im sure the new block, THEROS, in september will help aid this deck. I love my Eldrazi

hah I'll tell you if i see anything but im sure you will have it by then you seem very capable as a deck builder. I also love my eldrazi hah have a whole deck based around smacking someone with and Emrakul and It that betrays like turn 4-6 which is kinda slow but still quick for those guys.

Lol. Hide away Ulamog or Kozilek. Talk about lulz. Turn 2 Badass eldrazi for 1 green. ^_^

I still have to have creatures with power ten or greater though so I can tap them and then the green, so about turn 5. but those lulz will come. >:)

I would suggest Vedalken Orrery and Winding Canyons. They enable some EOT plays that can be crippling and also allow you to recast Omnath following removal, before your stores of mana empty.

I'll look into winding canyons and vedalken Orrey.

You've played tested this deck :) I'm glad some people are enjoying this deck. I absoultely love it, a completely original deck recipe too! I've looked at sword of feast and famine before, I wasn't thrilled, but I was thinking of Bear Umbra at one point.

why do you prefer the totem armor over the discard? I honestly think that even though totem is slightly better after umbra is agone its gone the sword might live longer idk those are such minor details really. Why did you decide to not put any of them in?

Honestly I just don't know what I would drop for them.

harmonize possibly? or if you use the sword maybe even a land search because it would ramp a lot for you
