The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
Come one, come all. For the low price of 4 mana you can deal 20 dam or take 3 extra turns!!!! Holy combo from hell Batman! Started out a casual modern burn/gelectrode deck a friend of mine had. Some major overhaul and now its a monster. Miracle>dual cast/gelectrode untaps>rinse repeat. Totally broken. ------ Whoa, hold the phone. Gelectrode isn't working out. Pili-Pala is better. Still 6 mana for 20 dam or 7 mana for 4 extra turns. Still a sick combo. ------ Went back to gelectrode combo. Added sages for chump blockers, and more snag and leaks. Hopefully hang on long enough for a dual cast/miracle. -------- Adding izzet guildmage/training ground combo (thanks botmes for the idea). Still working out the kinks.

I freakin' love this combo. This is excessively unfair. I mean REALLY? you could copy, untap, copy, untap.. ugh that makes me sick.

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT. Crap dude, hate to break it to you... Gelectrode's ability states that a spell has to be played (which is in today's terms meaning cast) and unfortunately copying a spell is NOT casting a spell. So that untap combo does not work, sadly.
By george your right! its still a sick combo. I think it just needs some Gitax probe. See it? Miracle>dual cast>gitax probe>dual cast>snapcaster>spell>dualcast....just sick, 20 dam for 7 mana, 4 turns 8 mana.
Actually just replaced gelectro for pili. Turn 6>20 damage, or 3 extra turns.
correction: a copy is a spell for all intents and purposes, and it is "cast" 111.1a A copy of a spell is also a spell, even if it has no card associated with it. See rule 706.10. 111.1b Some effects allow a player to cast a copy of a card; if the player does, that copy is a spell as well. See rule 706.12 706.12. An effect that instructs a player to cast a copy of an object (and not just copy a spell) follows the rules for casting spells, except that the copy is created in the same zone the object is in and then cast while another spell or ability is resolving. Casting a copy of an object follows steps 601.2a–g of rule 601, “Casting Spells,” and then the copy becomes cast. Once cast, the copy is a spell on the stack, and just like any other spell it can resolve or be countered. so the combo does work. cheers!
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=240138 Official ruling states that the copy is a spell and is added to th stack as normal, however it is not technically counted as being cast. I wish it wasn't so but thems the rules.
Finding a better hit with 1 extra mastery?
Really it depends on who I'm fighting, you carl or rob. I dons want to side board the crap out of it ya know
Against all those creature decks this will work, but your few new ideas I'm not so sure
really there is not much too it. you have to protect gelectrode or the whole plan is done. looks to me like. t5 gelectrode (2 mana to spare to leak removal, or snag attackers, or scry miracle 2nd from top.) t6 dual cast (4 mana left, same as above) t7 miracle win, hpefully.
there is not enough burn in there to be lethal quick enough without dual cast, not enough creatures to do it the old fashioned way. Grind out the miracle is really the only objective. that and annoy the shit out of your opponent with snag/snapcst/leak their amulet/piper. Mmwwuuhahahaha.
I think vexing devil is the only card that doesn't belong.
i'm using a similar deck, but it's more combo oriented with two engines running: izzet guildmage + training grounds, and gelectrode + dual casting as a back-up. even without dual casting, they synergize very well, allowing you to crank out horrible amounts of damage with gelectrode using only one cheap spell. throw in some sorcery mana-ramp, like manamorphose or desperate ritual, and you have a broken infinite-mana combo on top of a broken copy engine. wins consistantly by at-least turn 5, or turn 3 with the right starting hand. and it's modern legal! cheers!
That's so beautiful
nvm. not AS beautiful. Scry into miracles is still great. sucks that Tops are banned :p
Love a good U/R Combo deck, especially one that looks as fun as this.
Thanks. Still working on it.
