Yup you did. Comments and suggestions would be nice. -Reed

How do you plan to use Near-death experience, it seems like a random shot in the dark. In a deck gaining life, when would you want to be at 1 life

ya i was just looking at that myself too. i would suggest tossing angel's grace and near death experience for like landbind ritual and luminous wake or something. the whole near death experience just isnt gonna happen here. angel's grace and near death experience is a good combo, just not here.
You never know. If the opponent has a big creature coming in, and they think that they're won, there's no way I'll be at 1 life, then I pull angel's grace. Basically this is a life win deck, if they're about to kill me I pull Angel's Grace, and if they can't get there, I get to 40 life I win. -Reed
Basically I'm keeping both combos. I appreciate comments though.
It really irks me that your situation, with major damage coming in is way to situational. First of all, because angel's grace= time spiral, means this deck is only legal in legacy. also, without a grace in your hand, your opponent would never be dumb enough to put you at one life. Finally, the thought of having low health goes against the theory of lifegain. I would STRONGLY recomend removing Near death experience and angels grace for cards like rest for the weary, landbind ritual, and if you want this deck to be in extended, you could use Boon reflection, cradle of vitality, and, maybe Transcendent master, to pound face, and gain life.
Well I'll try my way first. If it sucks when I use it, then I will swallow my words and stupid pride and go your way. Your way is logical though. -Reed
I have a life-gain deck of my own, and the only times I've lost are times I get complete shit for hands and mulligans. Check it out if you want, it's a 70 card deck, but it'll give you a few idea's of some cards to use. If you think it's too bulky, check out one of my revised versions under my profile. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=144411
Forgot to mention that my record is 38 - 4, lol
Seems cool to me.
my personal favorite Near DEath experience win card: Fireball and hit yourself.
I'd love to see that XD
I don't feel the Angel's Feathers are necessary, but I'm also not going to tell you you can't run your combo. It looks fun, kindof a backup there. If you decide that you're going to go one way or the other w/ your deck, I recommend taking a look at ryan1028's lifegain deck. It's retarded in a multi. He regularly gets over 100, no problem. http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=137789 Like I said, looks fun though. I'd Banefire you for what I'd presume to be lethal. And then see the Grace drop. Probably sit around for awhile afterwards, trying to figure out how I lost. Probably Banefire you again for being a jerk or something. Because it's funny.
I thank you for not telling me what I've heard 5 times already, though I am a stubborn one :P I do use the Grace/Near-Death as backup only and both ways of winning are funny (life=1 I win Life>39 I win) I got an idea from that deck I hope he doesn't mind me stealing... er... borrowing it (Kibra Crossroads). And I would cry if you Banefired twice. Then drop another Grace. 'Cause its funny :P. -Reed
You would. I kinda saw that coming. Sounds like a bad night of Magic topped w/ horrible draws. It happens. Oh well... Change decks, try again. :D
