Deck discussion for No you can't. Standard

What do you do when you come across a creature-light / creatureless deck? Might want to board either more creatures, or more discard/direct damage. Inquisition of Kozilek or Consume Spirit, maybe. Master Thief might not be out of place for taking care of artifacts.

Thanks for your comment. I've been thinking of this as well, but I'm still not sure about what to sideboard. But in my first few test games, I figured out that really fast creature decks like goblins or white weenie are much more annoying than that, because sometimes I just can't remove as fast as they come up with new creatures. some ideas about that?

Kill one and yank the rest out with Extraction? Eternally hitting Zeniths would be entertaining, but not particularly healthy for your own board. ^.^;; Maybe Memoricides for more deck removal? Or Smallpox, that would cause problems. LOL

zenith is a nice option, and i can easily sweep the board before casting my own creatures. as long as i can keep one sheoldred alive, everythin should be alright. i guess memoricide could do a good job, i'll definitely consider this one. and prolif could be cool to sideboard as well. hello, tezz's gambit!

I really don't like Shoeldred in this tbh. She Is too much mana for a control deck dual color. Might want to go mono black control if you are looking that way and go with obliterators. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=192460 < bit old but was my old control deck might give better ideas with sorrin's -2 ability and the new jace. Could be nasty if built right. Just my 2 cents. The goal of control is to leave mana open and sit back and wait. Mono black is the same in a sense but has cheap removal. Good luck

Marrow Shards is the answer for Weenie and goblins. You saw that on my Forgemaster Control

The other problem I see with that. If I'm playing my control deck I can promise I will have mana for 2 counterspells most times running Inkmoth Nexus plus Sword of feast and famine to untap my lands after I play my turn. But that's just against my deck :p

Phyrexian Metamorphs are going to be the bane of your exsistance too. Copying your Shoeldred to kill it. Ouch.

you may need more dual lands like darkslick shores or creeping tar pit so your not left with 2 swamps but in need of island ive always had that problem with my control deck

thanks for you comment. i absolutely agree with you, but to be honest: when i have to make the decesion wether to pay 50 bugs for lands or use one more swamp and island, i will choose swamp and island. when i draw another drowned catacomb or a creeping tar pit, i will absolutely add it to the deck. But i just don't have more right now.

Just a little note. Just out of experience. Split your removal with doom blades and go for the throat. Pays off. Don't want to go into game one with 4 gftt then end up against artifacts with no removal. Then after game one if you don't have to mess with either or you can sideboard more doom blades or gftt
