Deck Description

It\'s simple. Don\'t let them play any spells, by countering and siphoning. And then use your unblockeable Phage. Some other key things, you basically have no limit to your deck. Possibly a total of 5 decks? So all counter can be reused, and no creatures (unless removed from the game, which you can stop) are ever truly gone. Also you\'re opponent will be crippled by a combination of Arcane Laboratory, and the counter spells.

Deck discussion for Phage and Cohorts

Playing Phage is a dangerous game, my friend.... (I might take it out) By the way, you have very few lands, try upping the count of lands to 23 because you have cards that cost almost 10 mana!
Also, this deck looks a little slow. Otherwise, this a good start. Try playing the deck; the cards that dont work, take them out; the cards that work, get more of!

I actually do use this deck. Oddly enough the speed is not a huge factor. I control the pace of the game pretty quickly with arcane laboratory. And really pile on the "i'm-sorry-but-you're-not-playing-any-spells" motif quickly. I don't play many spells on my turn, but do play lots of spells on their turn, which stops them from doing much. Thanks for the advice, any card suggestions/removals?

You could lose the Psychic Trances and replace them with Disruptive Pitmages, which do the same thing for less mana. Also, since you're running blue, consider adding some stasis elements such as Frozen Aether to slow your opponent down even more. And if you're relying on Phage as a win condition, you may want to increase the number of her from 2 to 3 or even a full playset in the deck. Also, a nice combo with her is to put a Whispersilk Cloak on her...something to think about. :)
