Deck Description

More-or-less a standard issue political combat deck focusing on the "goad" mechanic to force other players to attack each other. The objective was to build a solid - yet casual - commander deck that can utilize Karona effectively without her as the lynch pin. The card choice for the deck is of course tailored to my own tastes, and thus not 100% optimal.

How to Play

Being a "political" combat deck, a more preemptive mindset is required to run this deck effectively. The goal isn't to damage opponents yourself, but rather manipulate the board to where the dirty work is done for you. That said, this deck isn't meant for 1v1 duels and will be at the disadvantage in such a scenario.

Deck discussion for EDH: Karona Pinball

I really really don't like EDH as a format but shit like this could get me into it, that and an extra liver to sell and some Time Spiral level temporal shenanigans so as to have the money and time.

I certainly understand the sentiment, EDH is not my preferred format either. Unfortunately, EDH is pretty much all anyone plays these days in my area of living. As to the cost, to be fair, I tend to "idealize" the mana base in the list and work backward to cheaper options. If done right, the deck loses only a small amount of efficiency and speed. Of course milage will vary in this regard depending on card selection.
