Deck Description

Do you love Eldrazi's? Would you like to play their king at lightning fast speeds? Then this is the deck for you! Another fun way to play this deck is to replace Emrakul with Spawnsire of Ulamog and use Spawnsire's 20 mana ability. (100% doable in this deck)

Also, if you have any sideborad suggestions it would be highly appreciated. Also, for competitive play i actually find it much better to replace Emrakul with Craterhoof Behemoth.

How to Play

The following is the 100% perfect set up:

Hand: 2 Forests; Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx; Arbor Elf; Utopia Sprawl; Garruk, Wildspeaker; Voyaging Satyr (Joraga Treespeaker or another Arbor Elf will also work) And then we must draw Emrakul, the Aeons Torn by turn 3.

Turn 1: Forest, Arbor Elf

Turn 2: Forest, Utopia Sprawl onto the untapped Forest, tap the enchanted Forest and Arbor Elf for 4 mana and play Garruk, +1 Garruk to play Voyaging Satyr

Turn 3: Nykthos, tap the enchanted Forest to activate Nykthos for 5 mana, +1 Garruk and do it again, (10 mana total) Tap Arbor elf, and Voyaging Satyr to untap your enchanted Forest and Nykthos and activate Nykthos again (15 mana) and then play Emrakul and win!

Deck discussion for The wave of doom!

Difference between garruk and Nissa though is that Garruk untaps 2 "target" lands and Nissa untaps 4 forest. The 2 lands will be better here for the nykthos sake, due to his devotion that he needs to produce more mana.

I would drop 2 Garruk and 4 Joraga Treespeaker and put 4 Burning Tree Emissary in and 2 Khalni Hydra. The reason I suggest these two is because turn 1 forest, mystic then turn 2 burning tree into burning tree into burning tree into play nykthos and use the two floating to tap it for 7 and lay down your hand is good. Also Khalni Hydra costs less the more you have.
I would also drop 4 Utopia Sprawls and add 2 Courser of Kruphix and 2 more lands. Modern mana ramp needs lands.
That's just my 2 cents, but I like green mana ramp and I like hard casting Emrakul, so +1.

This is a real deck and it has a primer, I would suggest you look it up. However I can tell you for certain that you need all 4 Eternal Witnesses and at least 2 Primal Commands. Witnesses allow you to loop a Primal Command 4 times and also are just very good value and devotion. You also need less Joraga Treespeakers, less Genesis Waves, and more Burning Tree Emissaries.

The normal core of this deck is:

A bunch of forests
4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
4 Utopia Sprawl
4 Arbor Elf
4 Eternal Witness
4 Garruk Wildspeaker
2-4 Primal Command
3-4 Primeval Titan

You can flavor it from there.

Seconded, could you explain why is this better than monoG devotion that has been played on modern last year or so?
Is this a version? So we can comment on how to improve it's matchups,
Or a new deck entirelly? So we can them suggest different early game options/ engine/ finishers...

This Deck is just awesome, Hard casting the single most powerful creature in magic on turn three(Given some luck) is just an awesome concept.

Ps. Gaea's Cradle would break this deck.

I am impressed that it would potentially put out Emrakul so fast, but i see a few minor problems. In my humble opinion, it a whole deck shouldn't be based around a single creature. It also depends a lot on luck, which rarely turns out well. Lastly, most people are correct- not only will Nissa untap four lands, but she can bring out every forest in your library and thurn them into 4/4s with trample, giving the decks name, 'wave of doom' more meaning, as one creature is not really a 'wave'.

Yo, Sideboard Suggestions: Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre, Kozelik, Butcher of Truth, several Eldrazi Conscription, several It that Betrays, Several Pathrazers of Ulamog, and several Hand of Emrakuls.
Also, This is if you Rush Spawnsire rather than Emrakul, just stuff an emrakul in the sideboard also if you do this.

I think you could cut 2 genesis waves for 2 Summoning traps.

Wouldn't cut the gen waves I guess. Maybe switch them by the Primal Commands if your meta calls it.

I would try side boarding the Trap, its only better if the opponents plays a certain way. Otherwise your better off as is most of the time.

Actually summoning trap is good no matter how the opponent plays. You can play Emrakul for 0 mana best case, or 6 mana worst case. But if Genisis wave/ Primal command is so valuable, then put it in the sideboard.

The Trap costs six normally and is no guarantee as there are only two in the deck, the odds of success are relatively small, making the card mostly unpredictable, however, primal command costs one less, is more flexible, and guarantees you get what you want, and Genesis wave is far more flexible that the Trap, especially since the deck has an overwhelming amount of mana ramp.

Honestly, its almost a toss up, but i would test this deck with both multiple times to come to a conclusion. I however do see flexibility and consistency as giving a better chance than a betting card like the trap.
