Why play your hand when you can play your entire deck?As a lover of both Landfall and Cascade, this deck has been a pet project of mine for some time now. My play test findings have been pretty nuts to say the least. Around turn 7 it can pop off with a million triggers, cascading into Cascade numerous times, and trigger Landfall upwards of 5 or more times a turn. It is truly an unwieldy force of nature that demands literally all of my brain power to operate at times.A couple of things I should mention: There is almost no targeted removal in this deck. This is an intentional design choice- and while I do enjoy winning, I enjoy the experience of an exciting game even more. Basically, this deck is explosive a.f. so instead of hosting typical answers that a sane deck builder would include, I instead filled it with more cards that enable its explosiveness. The philosophy was; "Removal? That's my opponents job!'. -And that's something to consider- For every piece of removal your opponent has, you're going to have 3 things on the board they wish they had removal for. The goal is to completely overwhelm them. Speaking of interaction; lands ETB not interacting with the stack and Cascade triggering from casting will make this deck particularly difficult to disrupt and interact with. -This is a highly underrated feature of Chaos Blooms. This deck rebounds from board wipes fairly well, draws lots of cards, and frequently has you riffeling through your deck in the mid to late game. The pilot of this deck should routinely keep track of how many spells they cast (especially if it looks like you're about to pop off) because some cards care about that and you never really know when you're gonna stumble into them. Also, the possibility of decking yourself is very real. It hasn't happened to me yet but I've come uncomfortably close. If you love chaos, I highly recommend. P.S. The 'Maelstrom Colossus' in this deck is actually supposed to be a 'Call Forth the Tempest' but MTGVault doesn't have it in their database yet. The 'Garbage Elemental' is supposed to be the one with Cascade but alas, that too is missing from the database.
