Deck Description

Infect destroys both creatures and players, and also fully cancels enemy healing, making it effective against any player. This deck also gives a bit of focus on creature buffs and graveyard control. Also relatively cheap.

How to Play

Hit hard and fast in the beginning for those first few poison counters. This deck isn't particularly fast but it is possible to win the game before it has even started.

The game will change fast once you have 5-7 lands in play. You will be able to do a variety of combos to win the game, here are a few of them.

1. Spinebiter + Enlarge: Spinebiter will always do combat damage to a player even if it is blocked. Enlarge makes it a 10/11 creature with trample and infect. You win the game. Only way to stop this is by using removal like Doom Blade and Murder.

2. Whispersilk Cloak + Phyrexian Hydra + Boar Umbra: Whispersilk Cloak is SUPER powerful in an infect deck. Combine this with Phyrexian Hydra and a Boar Umbra, and you've won the game. Only way to stop this is first by destroying the artifact then the creature twice in one turn.

3. Mass Creatures + Overrun/ Beastmaster's Ascension: Phyrexian Swarmlord helps with getting mass creatures. Once you do having Beastmaster's Ascension or Overrun (or both) you will almost certainly win the game. I recommend having more creatures then your opponent if you want this to work.

Hint: You can get the cards you are looking for by using Increasing Ambition.

Deck discussion for Budget: Modern Infection Deck

the interactions are fun so, many, so much infect! AND ITS NOT BROKEN INFECT *tears of joy*

though I recommend having

groundswell, magnetic growth and giant growth as well as a single glistener elf in there as well. so you could (not likely) BUT COULD have a t2 win when you draw....

The way you makes decks intruges me.

I normally add 22 land, and keep adding 4 of cards till I run out of space!

You seem to really think about each interaction in the deck, to the point of putting allot of them in there!

This makes your decks less consistent, but also allot more unpredictable as they COULD have that power in hand, but your opponent doesn't know till too late...

This kind of build is what I aspire to be able to do, and be able to mix it with the consistency I'm looking for in my own decks....

I would even say having this kind of innate skill at deck building is rather odd.

you have earned both a follow and a like off this deck and shambolic potential.

Thank you. I appreciate it, I like building decks this way for black decks especially, because you can use cards like Increasing Ambition or Vampiric Tutor, to get the specific card(s) you are looking for.
