I'd increase the land base to 24 at the minimum and most likely 25-26. I'd drop fanatic and gift of orzhova to add more land and any spare space I'd probably utilize obzedat or blood baron.

25-26 mana seems too much for a deck which tops at 5 cmc, and plays most around 2-3 cmc. You'll ideally want mana first 4-5 turns, so only 4-5/11-12 mana/cards is the ratio to aim for, which should give you max 25 mana, min 22... I'd go 23, since you have little card draw. Also not sure on wild guess - think they should be sideboarded unless playing a deck which is also fast paced, otherwise I think best to fill the slots with another mortar/dreadbore/fanatic.Good deck though.
I agree. I think 20-23 is more likely for this deck. I changed the wild guesses. I agree with that. But what do you guys actually think of the deck.? Like the idea?
I really like the look of this deck - I wanted to build something similar til i checked the price of reckoner. In terms of how this deck plays, I'd remove gift of orzhova, thoughtsieze, read the bones, boros charm and master of cruelties. Adding in 4 rubblebelt maaka (for the bloodrush), 2 goblin rally, 2 dynacharge, and some titan's strength. That would make the deck a lot faster, lose the need for white mana (prob just using mountains, br pain land, br scry land)..Thats what I would do anyway...
I can see where u are going but thats literly a whole different deck. XD And i dont think The way of the deck u are thinking up would do very well in competitive standard play.
Haha seriously
Seriously what??
That would seriously change the deck. At least i think thats what i meant, wrote that awhile ago
take out the 4 rakdos guildgates and put in a two set of temple of silence, temple of triumph, and temple of malice from born of the gods
The will be temple of malice when the set comes out. :)
I don't quite see the point of the Gift of Orzhova in this deck. None of your guys hit hart enough to really make any use out of the lifelink, and Master of Cruelties doesn't use it at all. The flying is nice, but I don't think it's 3 mana nice.
The deck hurts itself with cards like Read the Bones & Thoughseize. I would suppose those are important (and handy with the mana scheme) to give blockers for flyers and balance out the self-inflicted life loss. However, I do think the land is low. I would put at the very least 22 land (especially since it's not even all colored mana)!
Use whip of erebos instead of gift. Then mogis works as a merchant.
To ArkthePieKing I put the gifts in for life gain to add up so that the shocking of things like the lands and read the bones, and thought's dont hurt my outcome of the game. Cause those functions really hurt if I dont gain life.
i would definitely drop the gifts, and put in blood barons, even though they are more mana, they definitely make up for it. I, personally, would -4 gift of orzhova, -1 fanatic of mogis, + 3 blood baron, +1 temple of triumph, +1 temple of silence.
I second this all the way, except I might use obzedats rather
Ghost Council is too hard to cast, the deck is focused towards red mana. However you could almost rationalize it if Whip of Erebos made it in this. (They combine to form an undying Obzedat)
I see what you mean about the casting costs, but what do you mean by an undying obzedat?
Whip obzedaddy, beginning of end of turn exile him, the whip is satisfied and youre probably pretty happy as well
Ah thats cool. :)
Hey How's it going I like the Idea but for me Unless you are playing Mogis, God of Slaughter from Born of the Gods then in a deck like this you should use creatures that utilize red more like Storm breath dragon for your Mogis fanatics. It makes very little sense to me in the aspect that you have a devotion creature, but with Mogis then you could add the barons and Obzedats for devotion as well. Here is a deck I run and use: It works very well tell me what you think about it.http://www.mtgvault.com/cylindershadow/decks/bwr-midrange/I know it is also using the aforementioned creatures but they are not used in a devotion centric manner, I do run Mogis, God of Slaughter but his main value is not really in turning him on it is in his Second ability to help wipe out other players creatures, eet es fun, it is fun...lol. Anyway take a look and see my decklist and tell me what you think or any suggestions that you may have anyone.
Ya I could see replacing them for the rakdos god. He's good and it would make multi color more effective in this. Thank You for your comment. Ill take a look at ur deck in a sec too. :)
I would also try adding Purphorus God from Theros set to your deck adds to your devotion style as well as has a nice little ability or his hammer artifact either would work very well.
Ya I could see it but I cant see what I would replace to fit those in. Any suggestions?
possibly a dreadbore and boros charm or thoughtseize to the side add 1 hammer and 1 god. drop a rakdos charm completely.
one more thing I would drop three scry lands one of each and replace with mountains would run faster
