My proactive version of 8 Rack. Very fun to play.Would like to hear what you think!Dark Confidant is soon to be Waste Not. I like the sideboard how it is, but there are a few other cards I'd like to fit in.
Disrupt the hand and take care of threats before they hit the board. Raven's Crimes retrace ability pulls its weight tenfold in this deck by making all land draws additional discard spells.Smallpox wrecks some decks and needs boarded out against others, you almost never get the short-end of the stick though.Ensnaring Bridge locks players from attacking. The Rack and Shrieking Affliction punish your opponent for not holding back.I've just begun testing with Waste Not, and I think it could/may propel the decks popularity, it provides blockers, excellerated turns, and most importantly, card advantage; all on the hardest type of permament to remove, an enchantment. It also doesnt kill you like Bob does.

Thanks. I've been considering adding a 2nd Spellskite, or maybe a Bile Blight. I also wanted to fit a couple Pithing Needles to help my Urza Tron match-up, but theres not much room.
Yes its tight, but if you find room pithing needle would be nice
Spellskite is really only good if your meta has a lot of infect/boggles.Normally leyline is enough to hose burn/storm/adnaus.Blue tron is about a 50/50 match up but I feel your smallpox might make it more in your favour.R/G tron is just a beating for us-_-
Acouple small things, overall a solid build let me know how Waste not pays off for you(I don't want to spend 7 dollars on it and it should drop in price in a couple weeks)1- Leyline of san: You ALWAYS want to run 4 of these. The point of this is to have the maximum percentage chance of hitting one without mulliginning to oblivion. They are crucial Vs. burn, pyromancer, ad naus and jund(certain builds).2-Relic/orb:I assume these are for pod, reani, etc. But what do you bring them in most often for as there is probably better choices.I am a fellow 8-Rack player, just went 3-1 yesterday in an event2-1 angel pod1-2 merfolk2-1 UWR control2-0 blue tron.My list is still the old bitter blossom list so let me know how yours has been going for you and which match ups get better/worse with waste not/small pox(sweet interaction still)
Mine as well run the bitter blossoms, they are available
See the thing is, waste not gives you a much better early game. and most of the time BB gets countered anyway.being able to play small pox with a wastenot in play is just sooooo much value
Perhaps adding a mix of Surgical Extraction and Extirpate in the sideboard would be what you want. Nothing like Thoughtsieze into Surgical Extraction to remove all the Splinter Twins
Yeah, I added 2 Extractions. Still not sure they're worth the spot, but it can ruin some peoples day.
Extraction is an instant win vs combo.T1 win vs ad naus.extractions are also amazing vs uwr(basically out best matches. You can actually get tron to discard a tron land and then surgical on it/ gamebreaking
