Deck discussion for "Our unity renews our strength."

Pretty cool deck.

Have you though about using Cloudshift? Good way to deal w/ removal spells and would combo nicely w/ both Champions.

In unity we find strength!
so the ragtag army roared.
and so it was, that through their bond
they found a power stronger than fear,
stronger than death. More, yet more
rallied around their vain hope,
exemplified, sanctified, and risen
to power witnessed only in storybooks.
Stand together.
these devils have no concept of OUR power.

it looks pretty epic, but I can't see why "Mayor of Avabruck" is it not better to have Wild Defiance, so you can make a combo with Joint Assault?

i have the mayor because almost all of the soulbond critters are human, and joint assault is only targeting 1 of the creatures not both, the text says "target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn. If it's paired with a creature, that creature also gets +2/+2 until end of turn." so you are only targeting the first creature. even if the combo worked i would have to add in a few other spells to make it worth it. on the other hand travel preparations does work with wild defense. and faith's shield combos with it pretty well so you could build a deck around this.

Hey, a friend at school wanted me to make him a decent standard deck that won't go very out of date by October and I decided on a soulbound deck. I'd appreciate your input =)

i advise that you put in;
1 nightshade peddler; soulbond requires diversity, if you get to many of the same creature then they end up soulbonding together and you no longer have the maximum ability, also it works awesomely with silverblade paladin.

4 joint assult; last time i looked buffing for +4/+4 was worth 2 mana, here you can get it for 1. Also, if you drop it on a silverblade or nearherth it is doubled, drop it on both and you have 16 damage and 16 life. you can do that on turn 4.

other then that ill get back to you

Yeah, he's fine with the cost because it's a decent deck that won't go very out of date by this October. I agree with nightshade peddler, but I'm not so sure whether or not to put in 4 joint assault. But I will put some in, thx for the help.

Its clean, but i think youre short changing yourself with only 1 DoJ MBed. You might prefer running 2 MBed or both SBed. Just a thought.

Grats on first page! If you get a chance, please comment on my Black Hole deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027).

Thanks.

you cannot expect to have more creatures then te oponent in standed at the moment, with so many bordwipes. also, if you are playing againct a creature deck (tokens, woolf run, humans) and you know that a bbordwipe is comeing, you play diferently, less creatures, block whenever you can, and so on, so that when you cast the doj, you have more cards in hand for the recovery.
