Deck discussion for Tribal Knights

Instead of oust, put in 2x oblivion ring. I know its 3 mana but its worth it.

I think one notion is that you can gain yourself life from this? Otherwise I think either o-ring or the extra paths to exile would be a good choice.

I don't know how it will work, but it is useful to take care of pesky planeswalkers. Personally, I'd love to run Wear//Tear but the red just doesn't work. Thanks for your input, both of you.

Nice. I love Knight decks, and GW is arguably the best.

Some thoughts on other cards you may want to think about:

- Wilt-Leaf Liege/Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers: Pure awesome. The Liege is fantastic with two-color knights (like KotR), and the Cavaliers are just great for 3 CMC.

- Steward of Valeron: Especially since you're running only 20 lands. He's great for mana (a Knight mana dork!) and a decent attacker with his vigilance. Often overlooked, but shouldn't be.

- Knight of Sursi: Basically a one-drop 2/2 flanking flyer if you can afford to wait a couple of turns.

- Knight of Meadowgrain: 2/2 first strike lifelinker. What's not to love?

- Knight of the Skyward Eye: Great in these colors. Yes, his ability is a tad expensive, but he makes a great mana sink later in the game. Built-in Giant Growth is nothing to sneeze at. This guy is always scoffed but typically performs very well for me.

- Pentarch Paladin: Would make a good replacement for a couple of your kill/exile spells. Multiple use kills with this guy!

And finally....

- Selesnya Charm: Yes, not technically a Knight, but can make a very useful one, and its two other modes can be awesome when you need them. Probably the best Charm in the game, and it's in your colors, and at WORST it can give you another Knight to play with. Really should consider these, at least in your sideboard.

I have a GW Knight deck I love at http://www.mtgvault.com/jre47/decks/midsummer-knights-dream/ if you need any more ideas.

Good luck!

Thank you! This is definitely the most helpful advice column I have been given.

I forgot Wilt-Leaf liege was a knight, though getting my hands on one, especially two, may prove difficult. I'd love to play test and see how it runs.

The steward is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I seem to always miss the small things from shards.

Knight of Sursi is a great drop one for this kind of thing. I needed more, which was why I had so much removal to slaw the game down.

I don't know how the others would work as I never have cast higher than cost four in a modern game, but I hope it turns out well.

With how many selesnya charms I have, I really shouldn't have forgotten it, but I did.

Last, I am very glad for your addition of your own deck. Congregation at dawn seems to slip my mind, always, but this works out very nicely since it is designed to be all creatures.

Thank you again, and Best of Luck to you!
