Deck Description

Shadowmoor only goblins deck. I was interested in seeing how mono red and shadowmoor goblins differed, so I threw this together. Turns out, R/G goblins are huge powerhouses and I actually kinda prefer them. Sure, they don't swarm like mono red, but R/G goblins hit a helluva lot harder. Combine that with quest, and you've got a nasty surprise for your opponent from your goblins. I threw in Fodder because it's one of my favorite cards in a goblin deck, and also the tokens get pumped by liege and the fodder spell itself pumps the duo, so why not?

In the end, I actually love this deck and plan on trying to assemble the pieces to have this one for my local modern tournament as soon as I can.

How to Play

Goblin decks normally function as fast decks that overrun the board with tons of goblins. So when your opponent hears you play goblins, they'll probably try to prepare for a large creature presence. Good thing for you that your best offense only really requires a few creatures. This deck's meat is in Quest and Liege. Both cards pump up your goblins to reasonable standards, but the liege powers ALL OF YOUR GOBLIN BY +2/+2. This means most cards like pyroclasm are useless against your clan of nasty beaters. To make this even better, most goblins you have are rather beefy to start with, unlike most goblins that are small but fast. These combined factors will give you opponent a nice surprise when they have some large grey skins stabbing their eyes out with spears!

Another way you CAN go with this deck is to toss the fodder and grenades, add some dual lands and forest, and throw in some pump spells to make it more hard hitting. The choice is up to you, just try to have as much fun as you can in the end!
