Plot:
Ah, the sweet scent of Daza Blossoms, thought Okila to herself as she smelled a wild flower. It was another wonderful day in Naya, the sun was shining, the blooming plant life filled the air with joy, and the grand beasts that inhabited the land as neighbors were at peace. Okila smiled as she walked through the trees, taking in all of nature's glory, and continued her daily stroll through the forests without a care in the world. Naya was a place for those in tune with nature, only allowing those who would call all things natural friend among it's lands, which was fine by it's natives. Normally, outsiders tried to tame the wilds and bend it to their will, which was foolish, for not only would Naya's elves and catfolk strike them down, but it's great predators would crush these outsiders underfoot. Okila thought about the last outsider she met, a necromancer who thought she could raise a beast from death and command it like one of her foul corpses. Okila laughed as she recalled the beast's bones being lifted from the dirt, only to fall on top of the necromancer and crush her. Irony was funny like that. During her daydreams, however, Okila had her thoughts disturbed by an new sound.
Okila snapped back into reality, and prepared herself for whatever these noise was, calling out to the roots underneath in case she needed their help. It was a strange hissing sound, not a normal thing to hear in Naya. Okila at first thought another mold adder had made it's way close to her village, but after following strange trails in the ground, she found a unique sight indeed. A large, serpentine being was holding a Foyan Bushhopper in it's hand, laughing at the lifeless creature. In it's robes, there was a variety of plants, as if it was collecting them. Okila was about to call out to it, but stayed hidden in the trees, watching this new being cautiously. After it had prepared the Bushhopper corpse for transportation in it's robes, the serpent begun to slither quickly through the woods. Okila had a bit of trouble keeping up at first, underestimating it's speed, but eventually followed the serpent to a large stone structure. Okila saw strange magic flowing through the stone, and to her surprise, watched the serpent disappear through the structure! With this disturbing news, she raced home.
After informing the tribe leaders, Okila and a few druids and warriors returned to the stone structure a few days later, prepared to bring it down so the serpent could not return. When they arrived, they noticed that this time, the serpent returned with another serpent, and the stench of rotting flesh confirmed the zombies behind them. A druid of the group whispered some sacred words, and shortly afterward, a Thoctar approached the tribals, ready to assist them against this new threat. The druid stayed behind as a few of the group members made their entrance threw the trees. To there dismay, the serpents merely grinned and treated them like filth. "Welcome to the new Brood Lands, my fine folk. Have you come to drop on your hands and knees in servitude?" said the familiar serpent.
Okila stepped forward, enraged by this serpent's disrespect. Her voice was low, but strong as her replied, ""Get out of our lands, NOW!!"
The serpent raised it's weapon, and the druid in the tree's whispered more to the Thoctar. It was all that was needed to get the Thoctar to reveal itself to these vile beings. The serpent behind the armed one started to flow dark mana threw it's hands and answered, "Kill them all."
This duel is a race, pure and simple. Both decks need a bit of time to build up resources, and for you, this means gathering mana to call upon the beasts. Naya's power comes in it's great creatures, most of them strong, hard hitting 5 power beasts. Early on, play cards like Druid of the Anima and Rampant Growth to start building up your mana pool. If you want to start repelling the invaders, cards like Kird Ape can come out strong and start smashing skulls, giving the Sultai Brood early giref and potentially forcing out a kill spell. After you gather resources, you need to quickly bring out the big guns. Don't worry, you have such a large number of powerful creatures that you can afford to bring them forward as soon as you have the mana! When you start dropping big beasts, start charging in on the Brood. As you keep summoning beasts, you'll find that your animal companions empower each other, giving you even harder hits to the Brood! The key to victory is to keep big creatures on the board. Sultai needs breathing room to sneak in their victory, so keep the advantage tilted in your favor with as many large creatures as possible! The Sultai may be royalty back in their dank ruins, but here, nature reigns supreme, and with your huge powerhouses, it's gonna stay that way!
