Deck Description

Elves that boost each other and mana ramp to cast Eldrazi.

This is the current deck I am playing and due to money restraints this is the best I have right now. I would love any feed back and suggestions to improve upon this. I know there are some really good rares out there that would boost this tremendously but i don't have a big budget for my Magic addiction. This plays really fast I usually can get atleast one Eldrazi if not two on the board or I have a bunch of buffed elves from Joraga.

I usually get an Llanowar or an Arbor Elf out on turn one and by turn three I can have about 6 mana on the board. Turn four I can have enough to cast just about anything in the deck. Thanks to the Everflowing Chalice I use the Ancient Stirrings three ways; 1) to fetch a land 2) to fetch an Eldrazi 3) fetch another Chalice.

I added in the Volaic key for some added mana boost and the Keening Stone for giggles. The Elves take of themselves most of the time since Joraga buffs them with the counters. I've played many games where I have had 2 forest in play, with 7/7 elves and a couple of Eldrazi.

Let me know what you think.

Deck discussion for Elves of Eldrazi

i really like the way you engineered this, i would only suggest an elvish champion or two to get more bonuses, or even emaculate magistrates to boost up some little elves.

Elvish pipers are always cool. Pipe out an eldrazi for one mana.

Cool, I want to keep it touney legal but this would make a killer unlimited.

Turn 4 could play It That Betrays!

I'm not a personal fan of the Hand of Emrakul. For just one more mana you could go with an Ulamog's Crusher. 1 more power, toughness, and annihilator for just 1 more mana. Other than that, it seems pretty solid. I do like the fun that can be had with a warcaller, canopy cover, and primal cacoon though, lol. If there's not a wrath or consume the meek, it'll end things pretty quick. The best about it, lol. Is that the one doing everything is actually just sitting there and looking pretty :).

I like the build, everything works really well together. Nothing seems extraneous except the Keening Stone, and I agree, it's fun. The archdruid and the treespeaker are great mana elves. "Oh, it looks like I'm all tapped out... except for this 16 mana from my elves..." I might suggest replacing some Llanowars with Elvish Harbinger. It might slow down the beginning game, but it's like playing a tutor and a mana elf at the same time, and you can make sure you get those Treespeakers out with it. I also think Immaculate Magistrate is a good addition to any elf deck, it can be a scary card. I love the Hydra, that could get giant fast. I might add the preserver and the warcaller to my own elf deck. I would not suggest Elvish Champion. The wording on it makes it useless if anyone else is playing any elves in their decks. I had it in my deck and ended up removing it pretty early on, along with a Coat of Arms. They can be very scary but I think they make better sideboard cards.
