Deck discussion for B/W Tokens Modern

Probably need help on the sideboard and I am pretty sure that dark confidant should not be in here but not sure what to replace it with. The champions seem to be a necessary evil with all the life drain. It's also possible that hero of bladehold should be Brimaz instead. Any suggestions would be great.

i'm pretty sure you take 6 if you flip a procession off of bob, so i agree that bob should be dropped. if your looking for a draw engine for this deck, it should probably be phyrexian arena. also you are missing zealous prosecution, that card is absolutely nasty, you should probably be running 3 or 4 main board.

I didn't even consider that. Dark confidant will be gone. However I don't think I need a draw engine instead. Persecution looks more like a sideboard card in mirrors imo but it is something I missed I will definitely side a few. For now I guess I will drop bob in favor of removal and elspeth, knight errant until i decide something else. Sorin Lord of inistrad might actually be good here too surprisingly enough.

Run at least 2, preferably 3 prosecution in the main. they not only boost your army but kill bob, snappy, lavamancer, souls tokens, and much more. it will single handedly win you not just the mirror but the affinity and faery matchups. any card that steamrolls 3 matchups while being solid in the rest is VERY maindeckable. i'd also suggest dropping 3 of your discard for 3 tidehollow skuller, and for sideboard run burrenton forgetender to stop pyroclasm.

For testing purposes I will run the persecutions. I forgot it can turn attacks into lethal and increase a goldfish speed. I don't want to use skuller because they get the card when it dies. Also pyroclasm is probably going to see less play thanks to the nactl ban. It's a bad card to play with so many 3 toughness creatures. The hand disruption is better you can pluck their wrath and board sweepers off their hand.

You know what? I think Auriok Champion should be in the side. Screw your own life total. You're busy using that to buy victory. Instead, try some Tidehollow Scullers. Those are fantastic and are basically a 2-for-1. So maybe they wipe the board and get their card back. Okay, well it won't matter if you only use Sculler to hit things that are early drops and time sensitive. Then you just push the advantage you've already been building.

I think Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is actually an upgrade over Elspeth in a deck that runs this many tokens. He's great. But Hero of Bladehold is the best, I say you max out on that before even considering the planeswalkers.

But you don't need too much advice, looks like you already have a really solid B/W tokens deck going for you here. Good job!

Sure I guess I can test that too. Although now I might have too many hand disruption effects in the deck. I might have to move stuff around.

I chose to try that but i kept a seize over inquisition. I like the fact that thoughtseize will always get their card. This looks pretty nice though.

I also chose to drop 2 plains for 2 extra swamps. The deck runs more black now than it originally did. But that is a good thing because overalll this looks much better than what I started with.

Did you see what Craig Wescoe played at the Pro Tour? It was pretty interesting, I think you may like it.

I did not see his list but I do believe not having bitterblossom could be a mistake. I know it didnt have blossom in it. Regardless all this shows that splinter twin is extremely overplayed and having more hand disruption might be needed.

I mean the first matchup you should be prepared for right now is Zoo. It's very popular and extremely powerful. Only after I have a good win percentage against that would I try out other important matchups. The other archetype to beat after zoo is probably heavy Blue based decks like Splinter Twin and W/U/R.

But yeah Wescoe played something a lot like this but also with Squadron Hawks and Swords.
