Hellcarver is coming for you... (sorry just had to say that) This deck focuses on killing the opponent's creatures and then kill the opponent with your own. To explain what on earth Hellcarver Demon is doing in the deck, I will point your attention to the broad amount of removal spells. each time the hellcarver hits there is a big chance if flips over some removal too, and the duress is there to remove the opponent's removal as getting your hellcarver killed, AFTER it hits, is pretty terrible... I also thought of switching the Hellcarver to the sideboard, but it really impresses me a lot. I have tested it out (currently just with proxies though) and I think it functions rather well, any ideas for improvement would be nice.

I think I'm in shock, it's an original MBC! IN STANDARD. You sir/madam, earn my respect for this.
I like this deck very much mate! However, how would you deal with a Gideon on the battlefield if you did not manage to remove it with Duress? One of my friends runs a blue/white control with Gideon, Venser and Jace... There is lot of removals but for creatures only... Any good ideas? Memoricide from the sideboard? Also how would you guys deal with journey to nowhere? Splashing green?
Gideon can die to doom blade and hideous end (he becomes a creatue, so he can die for all I care), so that solves it + there is a reason why I royal assassin and memoricide in the sideboard :). Journey to nowhere is one of the factors that weakens the deck, but bringing in nighthawks from the sideboard to up your creature count helps, also if you cast duress before attacking with hellcarver to remove potential threats it helps a bit, if you are unsure if you should attack with hellcarver or not I would rather play it safe as it is a defensive powerhouse too.
Oh just forgot to mention that the assassin only slows gideon for a round, but it nets you another draw and as 8 of the cards can deal with him when he has hit the field there is a good chance to have 1 or 2 by the time gideon shows his ugly face.
Brilliant!! Thanks mate!!
