The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Get a few creature tokens out with origin spellbomb, husk flayer, ect...
Then proteus staff or polymorph over and over again. Return and counter instants combined with isochron will keep me ahead or the opponent behind til I control what I need.

Suggestions are quite welcome.

Deck discussion for Isochron Polymorph

i love the idea of polymorphing a manland. somehow i never thought of that haha. i wouldnt bother with inkmoth nexus though, infect is gonna get you knowhere in this deck. it might as well be another blinkmoth, or mishra's factory or something incase it does get some hits in somehow. that way it can do something worthwhile other than being morphed, or chump blockin.

shapeshifter's marrow, and legacy allure, just seem sub par here. or even just unnecessary when it comes down to it. maybe drop those for more control magic you can put on the scepter? or even a set of some 1 mana cantrip like ponder or brainstorm. deck manipulation effects can go a looong way towards finding your combo pieces or control cards when you need em.

i like that you have a few different beast creatures, but none of those creatures end the game like emrakul does. the reason a creature list like that works in reanimator is because their deck plays like a toolbox, grabbing whatever specific creature it needs. your kinda just hoping to morph into the right creature at the right time which seems like it could get a little hairy. also, none of those creature have any sort of protection. it would suck to put all your cards into getting your combo off, only to have your opponent doomblade, or diabolic edict you or something.

i know you said your getting emrakul soon, so i would go with a few copys of him, and maybe a few copys of ulamog, or progenitus?

Took your advice the shapeshifter and legacy allure, and most these creatures ill probably switch out for like ulamog, blightsteel, and emrakul, although I will keep Iona in here. She's just too good a shutdown to mono colored decks. And ya I really like the land creatures I have in here, might take your advice on the dropping the inkmoth too.

and haha did I sense some sarcasm in md deck with the dropping knowledge like bombs haha, hey you said everything I thought, and I like his deck, doesn't mean its effective, just like thevidea behind it.

Ulamog, emrakul, blightsteel, and progenitus are pretty expensive for me to buy right now, I plan on acquiring them soon, probably emrakul and blightsteel from some friends, but eventually the creature base Will be, emrakul, blightsteel, Ulamog, progenitus, and Iona.

thanks for the suggestions

nooo haha i was being serious. just cause someone else doesn't build their deck like i would, doesnt mean thats the only way. thats what rules about magic, making a deck your own!!

but cool, lookin good. im not a big fan of quiksilver amulet but im sure it gets the job done.

i made up a u/b polymorph list for legacy, and played some games on cockatrice last night. did ok and crushed a few matches, even managed a t1 emrakul a few times. but ultimately i think a strategy like this, just isnt fast enough or consistent enough to be viable in a competitive format :(

That's good haha, That's my favorite part about magic is how you can completely make a deck how you want, whether its effective, fast, slow or anything. I think md could make his deck better, but hey thats just my opinion and all and all its his deck so he can make it how he likes, it might even work better than i think it will. Just always a fan of polymorphing an asshole of a card like emrakul haha

I just thru 2 quicksilvers in there because i hate having my creatures in my hand and its an easy way to just throw them onto the field instead of messing with somehow getting them back into my deck. I like it ya know =p

and this deck probably couldnt do too much in a competitive match.. I it actaully might do ok for some matches but not consistently, It's meant for a really good casual or small time tournys.

Too tell ya the truth if i had the money I would make this deck competitive.
I would
- 4 isochron scepters
-2 quicksilver amulets
-3 ponders
- 3 boomarangs
-1 grand cenobite
-1 Gisela, blade of goldnight
-2 Stormtide leviathen
-1 Iona, shield of emeria
-4 proteus staff
-1 orgin spellbomb

+4 force of will
+4 show and tell
+4 lotus pedal
+2 emrakul
+2 Progenitus
+2 Blightsteel colossus
+3 brainstorm
+4 city of traitors
+1 polymorph

haha obviously that would completely change the deck, and it's turn into pretty much into a generic show and tell deck with a polymorph twist, and be way more expensive. But hell I dont plan on facing a top level legacy player anytime soon,( although i would love to) I dont even know any. Besides I hate making decks that everyone has haha thats part of the reason i'd randomly throw in a polymorph twist to a show and tell deck... but I like my deck like this =] although I will add those creatures we talked about when i get them =p

hell yeah, im digging this deck. everydeck doesn't need to be a legacy deck :p For me, i just looove playing legacy. you should tryout cockatrice if you dont use it already. its really great for playing really good players, and also, being able to play with really expensive decks, without actually owning the cards is great.. you can play any format, even casual and its free. def worth checking out.
i think the list i was playing the other day looked something like this:

4 lab rats
4 flayer husk
4 polymorph
1 emrakul
1 ulamog

4 brainstorm
3 ponder
2 personal tutor

4 force of will
4 dispel
4 thoughtsieze

4 dark ritual
3 lotus petal

3 crystal vein
4 polluted delta
2 misty rainforest
2 marsh flats
4 underground sea
2 island
1 swamp

Thanks! Its a really fun deck to play, thats for sure.
and i know about cockatrice, but i've never played it. I plan on downloading it sometime but i havent had a chance yet. I love legacy too, just expensive if you wanna be competitive haha.

And I like the deck you put up, is it consistent? I always worry when my deck relies on a single card being played to win, ya know?

modern decks are much cheaper to make, I thought about making some of those, its a pretty fun format too.
