Deck Description

Mana ramp out the elocutors as quick as possible, tr y to make sure i play elgaud shieldmate first for protection. Some proliferate to speed up Elocutors win. Fog for a little dely and protection. Feed the pack gives me an alternative win or plenty of blockers to stall with.
Lead the stampede gets me what i need faster. =]

Deck discussion for Feed The Elocutors

I saw this deck and immediately thought: SILENCE! If you want to get Azor's Elecutors, try Summoner's Pact or Ring of Three Wishes. For Proliferation, use Contagion Engine since you are mana ramp anyway. Also Leyline of Sanctity, Witchbane Orb, and Canopy Cover would help against burn. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger would completely stop your opponent from doing anything late game. Isochron Scepter and Elite Arcanist will allow you to cast your instants unlimited.

I dont want to add a third color to this so i dont think ill be doing anything with silence, and as for summoners pact, it is a great card but i'll stick with lead the stampede, it essentially does the trick plus it give me a new hand full of creatures other than just one creature. I agree with more proliferation, I'm actually planning on doing some work on this deck tonight or tomorrow and probably gonna mess around with proliferation more and some populate because i plan to add a few more token creators such as wurm calling....

This deck will pretty much run two strategies, token overrun and azor's elocuters instant win, but both will work together, the tokens will allow me to stall out til i get the instant win or the azor will distract the opponent enough that my tokens will just over run and take the win. New additions to the deck will be posted soon when I get to messing with it tonight or tomorrow. Thanks =p

What do you think of something like this, I might change the deck a bit quite a bit, put in 4 axebane guardians, 1 or 2 more feed the pack, 4 wurmingcalling, 4 slime molding, 4 druids deliverance, and maybe a few viral drakes. Any opinions for a major change like that?

I like it. I myself, would probably use 3 elvish visionary, 3 llanowar, and three archdruids. Use 4 of the Myr superion, and just run over them early in the game with it. I like the ascetism, but would put maybe one more so you can have better odds of getting it out.
You could add few executioners hoods to make the myr a more serious threat to draw the attention away from the Elecutors. And, more food for thought.....I just love a Fireshrieker+Executioners hood combo on any artifact creature. It's just a nasty mix! I use it on my Blightsteel for a one hit wonder. You could also, throw in Mask of Avacyn for the hexproof it would give your Elecutors.
That being said, I'm not the best deck builder. Many times, my ideas sound great and don't pan out. So, take my suggestions with a grain of salt and listen to the pros on here.

Thank you for checking it out, Elves would be better i agree, but not if im running feed the pack. running defenders for mana with feed the pack is the perfect way to combine tokens and mana ramp =]

What do you think of the changes i made?

Paradox Haze could help you win with elocutor, but you dont have many other card that would benefit from it

I builted this one, but it's not final

Paradox haze is a neat card, but I feel the proliferate will help more, i can proliferate every turn and they do other things such as neg a creature and/or is a creature to block if necessary. I appreciate the suggestion tho. =p

First off, I like this concept. Cheap token blockers, to stall for elecutors, or a massive token army to overrun people with. Fun both ways. :)

Ok, so here are my 2 cents: Wall of Frost is good, but I think there are better cards to put in here. My suggestions are: Hover Barrier, because it's mana is a little more flexible at 2U instead of 1UU to cast. My next suggestion is Fog Bank. It is a little weaker, but won't die in combat. My 3rd suggestion (take it as you will) is Gomazoa. Personally Gomazoa is my favorite defensive creature, and I HATE playing against it. It doesn't to to easily, despite being a 0/3.
And all 3 of these are a little easier to cast, and have flying. Something that wall if frost doesn't.

For tokens, parallel lives is a must. It doubles your token output for free. :). Also, gutter grime would be too bad here either. Seeing as how you are gonna be sacing for feed the pack anyways, why not get double the creatures for it? Well, those are my initial thoughts, hope they help. I will certainly pipe up if I think of anything else as well.

ok, one last thing: lands. You should have some shock lands in here. Gates are decent, but they come in tapped. Perhaps swap them for breeding pools instead? Or if you can find them... City of Brass is an amazing land in my opinion.

I can see your reasoning for hover barrier over frost wall, but do you think it's worth the trade of one defense and losing the ability, granted having a flyer is def. appealing, so is the one blue instead of 2... thanks i will consider this.

Fog bank i have 2 problems, one is if needed he is terrible fodder for feed the pack, and the last is (the most important one, haha i dont own any and no one ever trades them haha, i can actually see trading those in place of llanowar, i will try to acquire some great suggestion, not everything needs to be fodder.

Does gomazao have defender? i forgot, if so i'll try to get some next card shop visit, although i might just choose to have fog bank instead, so i dont clog the deck up with too many things that has a low defense, need feed the pack to hit big on the first creature i sac ya know?

I did consider guttergrime, but not sure if i want to add it, im gonna play test this deck a few times to see if it'd be necessary, and i COMPLETELY agree with you on parallel lives but i dont own any and my shop sells them at a price i dont feel like paying =/ BUT i have been looking for someone willing for a trade for this deck so great suggestion.

What do you think about viral drake in here? is it worth it in your opinion?

Working on the duel/shocklands, not real easy to come across when you dont feel like dropping 10 dollars a card ya know? the land base will change as i come across better fits.

Thank you so much for your opinions they helped me out. I'm gonna play test it as is, then try some of the suggestions you said and see which way works out best.

Um... Viral drake is ok, but kinda slow. I would say steady progress, is another contagion clasp would be better, even though they seem more limited, they are cheaper to use. And yeah, some cards are just too expensive to just buy. I wish I had the money to just buy all of the cards I wanted. Lol... :)

i was hoping the viral drake would allow my to proliferate like 2 or 3 times at once when i got out the elocutors out but it might be not as effective as contagion clasp, it is limited in effect but its cheap and it kills creatures which i like alot. haha yea, if shock lands were only 2 or 3 dollars MAYBE i'd fork out a few bucks for them haha

Yeah, like I said the drake certainly is more useful, but since it costs 4 to use that makes it less effective. Put out 2 clasps for the same mana, and proliferate 2 times for the amount of 1 time with the drake.

This deck is great and it isn't really expensive. Could you check out some of my decks; like them, make suggestions and tell me what you think.
