Triskellion Basilisk

Main Deck (60 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Just thought up this deck today after using Triskellion at Friday Night Magic tonight. I'd like to make this kinda deck, and your thoughts would be appreciated.

The idea is to simply use Triskelion to kill everything. Steel Overseer keeps giving Triskelion more counters, and Basilisk Collar makes Triskelion deadly for only 1 damage. Mana Leak, Negate, and Blinding Mage for some control, Baneslayer Angel and White Knight for added offense, and Stoneforge Mystic to fetch Basilisk Collar. I am thinking about taking out Negate for some sort of trick like Diminish or Unsummon.

EDIT
Thanks for the suggestions. This list looks really tight.

My standard deck currently uses this combo as well. Consider adding blade of the bloodchief. Their like a dollar rare but if you equip it and basilisk collar to the triskelion then you can kill infinite creatures at instant speed

Ah, that would be a good card to add. With that I have a second way to give Triskelion counters.

With the blade of the bloodchief added this becomes an awesome 3 card combo. I like it a lot.

Hmm, I didn't like the fact that I was using only 4 blue cards in this deck. Mana Leak is pretty useful, but I decided Journey to Nowhere can accomplish pretty much the same thing if my opponent is playing creatures. Added bonuses are I don't have to worry about getting stuck on land anymore and also, my opponent might use up a spell to destroy the Journey to Nowhere in the early game, but then not be able to destroy my artifacts on turn 6 or 7 when I start putting on the hurt.

What happens if you don't draw Triskelion or he gets countered? You seem like focused on that...

Triskelion is the star quarterback of this deck. However, the rest of the team is also very good, so I'm not worried about what happens to Triskelion. Baneslayer Angel is more than capable of taking over a game. Blinding Mage will lock down threats and White Knight will murder threats on the ground.

Baneslayer is meh now, Titans just laugh at her, Blinding Mage? Really?, and White Knight can't kill a lot in standard now.

I get your Baneslayer comments and your White Knight comments. But why would you laugh off Blinding Mage? That card is meant to control the early game, and it can stop a major creature from attacking. Titans and Baneslayers alike can be tapped down by a Blinding Mage.

Also, White Knight can kill anything when equipped with Basilisk Collar. First Strike and Deathtouch, simple.

White Knight can kill anything when equipped with Basilisk collar, except for Black Knight. =P

Have you considered a playset of Arid Mesa, or Marsh Flats to help thin the deck? Even both depending on how much mana the decks seems to need. I think you should at least have 4 of one of the fetch lands.
