I see. Wasn't really knocking him, just seemed out of place in the list.

Yeah, got me there. Tezzy will be great for bringing your life point total back up and wrecking a Boros deck's plan.

I like this. I like this a lot. Only question though is why you have Drowned Catacombs. You can't give him infect as far as I can see, and three damage a turn will not be enough for an alternative win.

Thins out the deck, preventing him from drawing a needless land late game.

Ah, I see it now. I was thinking it would be too bad if your Kiln Fiend got fried before you could attack, and was suggesting Spitfire for backup. But yeah, I don't think I would want to get stuck like that either.

Why Accorder Paladin? Offensive 2 drop? I feel like the Mirran Crusader would be better main deck for this purpose.

I wouldn't cut the Zeniths for Galvanic Blasts. Or Lightning Bolts for that matter. I would run them side by side. Zenith and Bolt that is.

However, on the note of metalcraft cards, I think you might like Concussive Bolt. Excellent for an army of Myr.

I think I'd point my trimming sciossors at Myr Welder and Myr Resevoir. I think multiple copies of the Reservoir would be unnecessary. You already have a lot of mana ramp here, and do not need the extra push this card delivers. But it is a very nice card and would be excellent in matchups against removal heavy decks. But maybe just 2 going into game 1.

I think Myr Welder is a cool card, but I think you are likely to just draw the card whose ability you were copying.

I think you should have 4 Tempered Steels and probably 4 Red Sun's Zeniths as well. All Is Dust is a very nice touch.

I like the deck, and I think it will be effective at swarming your opponent with creatures. At this point, I believe you should be considered what your weakest matchups will be and including a few measures against those decks mainboard. I don't like having certain cards in the sideboard if I know there is a zero percent chance of winning a matchup without the card in my deck. Given that you could be facing anything, its best to be prepared.

For example, this last Friday (2-25-11 for future reference) I included three copies of Divine Offering in my main deck allies. I did this because I was anticipating the Stoneforge Mystic combos as well as WW Quest Decks. I was right on the money and won game 1 easily after hitting my opponents Argentum Armor on turn 2.

Chandra's Spitfire. Pay one extra mana, get two extra things (+1 Toughness and Flying)

Trying out Sejiri Merfolk. Put in 4 plains to activate the first strike, lifelink abilities. Those will be quite handy on the battlefield. I don't think it will hurt my mana base too badly. The occasions where I can't cast a card with two blue in it's CMC should be quite rare.

Also added in Ratchet Bomb as an answer to Goblins.

I like the new Overrun better than the old one. Overwhelming Stampede can provide quite a bit more power.

Thank you for the excellent advice.

I think utilizing Lullmage Mentor to its fullest might be the best way to go. Coralhelm, Sovereign, and Grand Architect all pump my creatures, so I wouldn't mind having that guy as a token generator.

I think Cosi's Trickster is good tech against certain decks right now. Fetch Lands are very popular and will make my one drop stronger as the game progresses. Decided to keep it in the sideboard.

My main game plan is to Islandwalk my way victory. Thada Adel is an islandwalker, so I consider her rather valuable for my purposes. Enclave Elite as well. Argentum Armor is pricy, but with an active Grand Architect, I have been able to play it and equip it easily. I think I would actually prefer some Sword of Feast and Famines to keep my mana open as much as possible, but those are harder to come by.

As for the mana curve, I want to ensure I keep the land flowing. I have a lot of three drops, and I actually need to be playing them two at a time. Perhaps Everflowing Chalice would suit these needs. I'll have to look into it. I do love Everflowing Chalice, but I was envisioning a line of play that went, Merfolk Spy, Spreading Seas, Grand Architect. I didn't wanted to be on the offensive you see. Perhaps you are right.

On a side note, some really fun plays are to steal equipment from the opponents with Thada. Imagine taking your opponent's Swords and Wurmcoils! She also has synergy with the trickster, forcing them to shuffle their deck.

It's a strange deck, and certainly not the fastest gun in the west. I have yet to play Red Deck Wins or Mox-blins, because I am quite sure I will be creamed. Thank you for the advice once again.

Goblins don't care about dying, but they do care about killing bad guys and the big nasty things they summon. Also, I thought equipment would be a good way to take advantage of Warren Instigator.

Ascetism is looking like a really good defensive option to me. Less for the shroud ability and more for the regenerate ability. It seems to me that sweepers like Day of Judgement or Destructive Force, or a well timed Pyroclasm hit hard enough that you won't recover. I don't think your deck is afraid of much else. An active Ascetism would totally kill that notion.
