Goal of this deck is to first take apart your opponents' hand by a barrage of discard spells (thoughtseize, inquisition, hymn to tourach, Liliana of the veil) which this deck would play four copies of each for maximum discard. Then, you want to lock your opponent out of the game with ensnaring bridge and liliana until you can find a win-con (The Rack, Chains of Mephistopheles, Waste Not) to close out the game.
I don't own this deck yet, so don't know quite how well it would play on paper. Basically, we want to have our opponent down to 1 card or less by turn 3-5. We also don't play any creatures to protect us, and that is where ensnaring bridge comes into play. Hopefully we can land a bridge early to stop a horde of creatures. Once, we have made our opponent discard their key threats, we can then close out the game with The Rack or Waste Not. This deck should fair quite well against midrange decks like delver decks, maverick, miracles, but I could see it being slightly unfavored against fast combo or aggro decks like storm tendrils or elves. Fortunately, we have cards in the sideboard like leyline of the void and toxic deluge/engineered plague to help deal with those kind of decks. PS. Have you played this deck before? Have you played modern 8 rack or any deck heavy in discard? This deck is fairly similar to 8 rack in modern, so I would love some advice on how to maximize this deck's potential.
