Deck Description

This deck is based on the new populate idea, along with some lifegain, which gets a little ridiculous if the combo works out well. With one or more Rhox along with either a Healer of the Pride or Trostani, playing creatures causes a lot of life gain. This is why populate is great in here, lots of creature( token)s being played.
The hope is to activate the ability of Grove of the Guardian before too much populating happens (attacking with multiple 8/8s is fun). Ajani is good in this deck because if he gets to use his ultimate (after a little lifegain, of course) you get a ridiculous number of 2/2 tokens, and if you have a Healer of the Pride or Trostani on the field, you gain 2 life for each of them. If this happens, and you have a Wayfaring Temple (or even without it), there isn't much for your opponent to do about it.

Deck discussion for Selesnya Populate/Lifegain

The inherent problem with life gain is you don't win by having x life so it amounts to stall unless your combo goes off which I assume is collective blessing blessing healer of the pride Tristan's and fungal sprouting or something similar

I think you need more tokens and less life gain and more tokens and support for it
Also wayfaring temple is strictl better then crusader of odric in this deck
Armada wurm and thragtusk belong in here somewhere and intagible virtue is amazing for tokens, vigilance across a field is stupid
Eyes in the sky is kind of weak o be honest unless you have garruk or a big slime molding you get half a lingering souls for more mana

I've never heard of Wayfaring Temple before, but after having a look, I would have to agree with you on that point.
I think people may be overlooking "Grove of the Guardian" which can be sacrificed for an 8/8 G/W vigilant token creature. This is what I am usually populating. I like "Eyes in the Skies" because it's an instant that gets me at least one flier. The idea though is that I'm usually populating something stronger than that bird.
In my experience with this deck, it ends up being pretty hard for the opponent to handle. I usually get life gain right away and that holds me over until I get some big guys out.
I will also have to have a look at getting that Armada wurm in somewhere.

Have you considered using Call of the Conclave? 1G/1W and you have a 3/3 Centaur. Also, you can ramp up with Arbor Elf and Avacyn's Pilgrim. Also, if you want to gain life to stall until you bust loose, why not add Heroes' Reunion? For 1G/1W you get 7 life and it's an instant. I like Eyes in Skies also, but you may also consider Midnight haunting, which costs 1 Colorless Mana less than Eyes. Sure you lose the ability to populate, but you do get 2 1/1 fliers so ( I think) it's a fair trade off.

Here's what I've got going on.

The only lifegain is thru Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, but with the rate of population it should be more than plenty!

Mana ramped thru Axebane in cooperation with the Gatecreeper Vine...

Multiple token gen and populate avenues...

Removal through Selesnya's Charm, Oblivion Ring, and Sundering Growth...

Some anti-necrophillia protection by Dryad Militant...
