Alternative "Incapacitating Infection" focusing on proliferate rather then infect creatures. +More board control thus more time. +More consistency against various opponents thus a higher win rate. +An overall more satisfying version. (at least for my taste) +More mana production and better land solution. -No graveyard support (no corpse cur) I'd love some thoughts or ideas, if anyone wishes to share them :) I feel like its getting close to perfect, I'm just fixing the last cards. (Before the next expansion of course) SB notes anyone? Updated 8/3/11 (eu) Incapacitating Infection. v1. Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=153537

hand of the praetors doesnt really make sense in this deck, its really only good if you are playing alot of infect creatures. i would replace with skithiryx.

Thanks for the suggestion though I'm not a big fan of all that black mana required also it works well to have them buffing the crusaders and inkmoth, I'm currently playing 2 of them, 4 crusaders and 1 quicksilver but I havent drawn it yet :d.
On second thought I might just go with 2 of each not sure though.
Thanks for your comment earlier, after making some changes to the mana and mana production I felt comfortable bringing it into MB and it does feel better then the Praetors, even though I'm keeping them SB.. I have a feeling it they will be nice to have if I am forced to try and play more on creatures
I tested it today... Completly won me every match I drew it. Thanks. :>
I'd still make use of a set of Praetors, honestly. I've had an infect deck which featured them played against me and it threw me for a big loop every match.
In a BU control-based infect deck, the combo of Hand of the Praetors, a pair of Corpse Cur, and a Throne of Geth can net you a lot of poison counters pretty quickly should you have the mana to run it. WIth even 4 mana, you're adding two poison counters each turn. With just one Hand in play, the Corpse Cur is 3/3 and can block smaller creatures without dying (or block bigger ones before sacrificing it to the Throne of Geth).
