The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
An all black zombie deck. Focused around Thraximundar.
Add as much mana to my mana pool as possible with Manalith and Liturgy of Blood. Use my zombie creatures for light attacks/defense and to add +1/+1 counters until Thraximundar can be summoned. Use Disentomb and Revive the Fallen to bring creatures back from the graveyard when my creatures start to dwindle. Utilize Call to the Grave along with Thraximundar to leave the opponent without any creatures. Then unleash hell with all creatures until opponent's life total is 0.

Is this your first deck??(:Because if it is, I would recomend you look into dual color lands, which will allow your large variety of colors be easier to get the correct mana for. Also, omnicscience with the blue has to go XDIt just doesnt fit the feel of the deck, and probability is everything in magic(: You want your deck to be as strict and fine tuned as possible so that you get the best playset of cards every turn, and omniscience slows down the deck and throws off ur mana way too much(:Also...well, im not quite sure with this deck, but maybe consider some control based planeswalkers like ajani to give you more like gain or get some token production in here to give you an early game blocker strategy(:And hey man, if you don't mind, I have a pretty evil deck I'd be interested in you looking at?? ^-^Look at your own risk :Dhttp://www.mtgvault.com/greenee/decks/theres-a-plague-coming/
Thanks for the tip! I will definitely take out omniscience and I will look into the dual color lands. I'll get back to you on your evil deck as well. Can't wait to see how you put it together.
And yes, this is my first deck. I am new to mtg
magic is a very fun game, and the key to magic is efficiency and thinning ur deck to be almost 4 of every card (:a good start is to maybe buy an event deck and work on it, they are about 20-30 dollars and can compete pretty well and it also how i started :D
Changed up the deck. Would you say I am headed in the right direction? I'm searching for more land and other cards to add the deck to make a full 60 card deck. Any suggestions?
hahaha this is a huge improvement!!(: Didnt even recognize the deck XDtry taking out three mountains for three dragon skull summits, and the islands for drowned catacombs
: ) Sweet! I will have to take a look at those cards and see what they are. I really appreciate your advice on my deck. Oh and I like your deck. Being a novice to MTG, I am not sure what makes your deck so good, but I like the cards you're using! lol
I had to reduce the amount of swamps because I still need a couple mountains and islands in order to use dragonskull summit and drowned catacomb. Two of my creatures need a mountain and island to be played.
now I gotta go buy some new cards
haha dragonskull and drown catacombs work with swamps!! (:
I mean no offense, but you might want to take a look at http://www.mtgvault.com/muktol/decks/how-to-build-a-deck/ Especially point 1 and 7. I see many strong cards...cards that are strong with the right support, or in the right, deck, but just thrown together they aren't that strong any more. What you need is a plan how you want to win games (See the deck building 'guide') @Greenee: "You want your deck to be as strict and fine tuned as possible so that you get the best playset of cards every turn"...not every player wants to have competitive decks, some whant fundecks, others just a deck which is able to beat a single special deck from a friend. I try to built my decks competitive too, but others don't want to and I had to learn to respect that too ;) Greetings Muktol
What would you consider to be the right support? I added Mark of the Vampire X 4 and various life gaining cards to help boost my creatures and gain some life back in the process due to the likely hood of having a slow start. Am I headed in the right direction or does that still not reflect the rest of the deck? If so, what cards may be hindering the deck? Thanks for your reply
I would remove (I already tried) the vampire part and concentrate on Humans (Cats may also be an option) and Zombies (Dark & Light) with lifegain and cards that profit from lifegain. Cut the red part, to get an easier manabase. If you want to keep the curent deck-structure I would recomment to remove some of the big oneoffs and add some cardson the lower manabase like "Festering Goblin" or "Blade of the Bloodchief".
Thanks again! I will fiddle around with some options and search for cards that may be useful additions to my deck. I think your right on focusing on humans/zombies. I can probably try a vampire deck at some point after I make my current deck more solid and focused.
I would remove 1 "Call to the Grave" and 1 "Endless Ranks of the Dead". 1 on the battlefield should be enough, and these are no creatures so it's not that easy to remove them. Change from "Disentomb" to "Ghoulcaller's Chant" 2 suggestions: Festering Goblin ({B}; 1/1; When Festering Goblin is put into a graveyard from play, target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn.) Skinrender ({2}{B}{B}; 3/3; When Skinrender enters the battlefield, put three -1/-1 counters on target creature.)
I thought about lowering the number of Call to the Grave and Endless Ranks of the Dead too, but I wanted to increase my chances of playing these cards so I left it as is. After playing this deck a few times, I will be able to judge if 4 is still necessary or not. I will have to check some of the cards you mentioned too and see about adding them.
definitely like that Ghoulcaller's Chant!
Thanks again for your suggestions
I love zombie decks and also a fan of vampires as well I have a modern vampire deck that stomps if you want to check that out. a few suggestions:I would remove warpath ghoul for gravecrawler, gravecrawler is a one swamp creature for a 2/1 that can't block but the great thing is once in your grave can be cast from the graveyard for the same cost, awesome early blocker and can be buffed later oncheck out grave titian instead of thrax will eliminate the need for the red mana and would fit the theme of zombie tokens the more zombies the more tokens from endless ranksalso love Geralfs messenger with undying he comes back from the grave stronger and pings opponent each time he returnsalso to fit the theme and add instant colorless mana look at ghost quarter, comes in untapped will produce instantly instead of manalith which cost three to play to produce one mana it's too slow
"gravecrawler is a one swamp creature for a 2/1 that can't block"...."awesome early blocker " something just isn't right here ;)
lol thanks for the comment. I will check out those cards you mentioned and see what I can do : )
Grave Titan is a nice card, but he is not a zombie creature himself so I don't want to use him even though he can produce zombies.
Definitely replaced Warpath Ghoul with Geralf's Messenger as he costs the same, but has abilities unlike Warpath Ghoul.
Thanks for the suggestions
lolol gravecrawler is the best blocker, so are bloodghast and carrion feeder XD
hmm think its best not to post comments after a night at the bar....those pesky non blocking early blocking creatures will get you everytime....I ment early presence but the comment already made. good thing rep don't go backwards!
drunk comments are the best comments lol
