So, proliferate came along and I was wanting to do something with it other than the same old +1/+1 counters and poison options. Those are nice, but there's got to be something offbeat and fun we can do with it and still win a game or two. So here we go. I've combined proliferate with fungus to create a nifty casual combo. As with all the decks I'll be putting on here, you can brew it up for around $10 and it won't get you laughed away from the casual table. It's essentially a fungus deck, with proliferate tricks. Contagion Clasp gets your deck running really quick, and takes out opposing creatures. If you get Contagion Engine down, it usually means game over. Spread the Sickness takes out any opposing creature, so don't blow it early on. Use it when you need it. The super secret tech is Blowfly Infestation; a card I've never seen used before. It looks like it was printed up to (sort of) hose persist creatures, but here it really shines. I mean, why kill 1 thing with Contagion Clasp when you can kill their whole board? It causes the Clasp to kill every 1/1 they have on the table and then moves on to weaken their bigger stuff, just like a plague should. When when all their creatures are dead, feel free to stick the -1/-1 counter you'll have to put on one of your creatures on Wickerbough Elder. Something tells me he won't mind.
