Deck Description

Damn Nature, You Scary!

Check out my other Treefolk deck that has Doran:
http://www.mtgvault.com/casey130/decks/modern-doran-treefolk/

Treefolk tribal deck. It is a very fun deck with all the synergies and is very different from most Modern decks.
I have always been more of a control player but I really liked the synergy of Treefolk and it is a fun deck to play.

I really need help with the sideboard, with getting different cards in the sideboard or on how to sideboard this deck a little bit better.

How to Play

Treefolk working togethor to win the game. The cards that usually win me the game are Dungrove Elder, Dauntless Dourbark, and Timber Protector, which can really make things difficult for my opponent. Heartwood Storyteller and Leaf-Crowned Elder keep the cards flowing.
Noble Hierarch and Elvish Mystic were added to make my deck faster.

Deck discussion for Modern Treefolk

Not bad. Mosswort Bridge would help with this deck, let you play your trees for free.

I've considered putting it in but I do want to keep everything as a Forest subtype for Dauntless Dourbark but I think I will playtest Mosswort Bridge

Everbark Shaman - I feel this would fit better then the Birds, as it would be more treefolks and more forests.
Unstoppable Ash - This should generally prevent anything from happening to your folks. That said, with Timber Protector, it wouldn't be needed.

Apart from those, there isn't much I can think of.

yeah Everbark Shaman can be pretty insane late game, but what im trying to do with the birds is hopefully play a turn 3 Dauntless Dourbark or maybe even Timber Protector which is awesome, but Unstoppable ash has always been a real consideration because that toughness boost is huge and it has trample

Battlewand Oak has always dealt more damage than Dungrove Elder for me and I am not really trying to block in this deck so Traproot Kami doesnt really work.

Edit: Dungrove Elder is insane amd you are completely right

Drop the 2 elves, the 4 Noble Hierarchs, and 2 Battlewand Oaks, and add some Woodfall Primus, some Orchard Wardens, and some Cream of the Crops.

Woodfall Primus and Orchard Warden are good but Im really trying to make this deck deal damage fast and taking out the elves/Hierarch arent gnna help but Cream of the Crops seam pretty cool, especially with Leaf-Crowned Elder and Descendants Path

Why the harbinger? If this is an agressive deck, wouldn't something else be more useful? Or does it fit some kind of role? (the tutoring ability seems kinda slow if it's meant to fetch cards for you. (Unless it isn't and I'm completely wrong :d) Is it for forest fetching in case of a low land starting hand or something?) Deadwood treefolk could potentially be in there to keep the cards going, everbark could be thinning your deck, someone mentioned cream of the crop, Kalonian Twingrove could maybe work? Unstoppable Ash... etc etc. Just curious, as I'm a bit interested in getting a treefolk deck myself :d

The Treefolk Harbinger just makes the mana curve so much better and gives us something to do turn 1 or 2 as there isn't really much and as far as the cards you mentioned, I don't include any of them because like I said before, the main curve is already pretty bad. Alternatively, Adding Black and White for Doran and a way better sideboard is probably a good idea. Always I've always wanted to fool around with Aether Vial, it seems like it would be fantastic in this deck.

what about search for tomorrow? Thins your deck, gives you something on turn 1 and ramps into your 4 drops by turn 3. The extra 0/3 wall (potentially 1/4 I guess?) that fetches some other treefolk vs a spell that just plucks a card from your deck and puts it into play.. Thoughts? I guess it interacts pretty poorly with the storyteller, but if you do end up getting a storyteller into play, you can just choose to not play your search.. Hrmm, ah well, Doran does seem fairly interesting, would be kind of hard to implement him though, would require shock lands (not sure how much the 2 damage matters), suppose it does add some options though with the 2 extra colors. You could also run doran's special forest if you wanted! :D
As for Aether Vial, it does seem pretty solid if you get it out early.
Hrmm... Lots of things that could be tested :d ah well, might do some proxy test runs with this and see how it works myself ^^

This is the list with Doran:
http://www.mtgvault.com/casey130/decks/modern-doran-treefolk/
It is nowhere near perfect like the monogreen version, I haven't tested either list enough to perfect them, I haven't played these Treefolk decks in the last couple months but they used to work pretty fine. Dungrove Elder is the real all-star in this deck tho
