Burn Deck (HELP/IDEAS PLEASE)

by carpeomnious on 09 July 2012

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I've just recently become very interested in Magic and wanted to create a burn deck.. I got some ideas from this site and others for what cards to put in, but would still like some help. Any critique is welcome!

Deck discussion for Burn Deck (HELP/IDEAS PLEASE)

i like the fact you have only one of each card i'm not sure how effective that will be, but i still like it.

Im sorry, but to be honest - we have a lot of work to do here. For Red Deck Wins, I would encourage you to search the internet for Sligh decks. These are the originals and establish the pricipals for building a RDW.

I'll try to summarize. 20 land, 15-20 one drops, 10-15 two drops, 5-10 three drops. Occasionally, you can get away with 4 drops, but use very few.

You want to select cards for the maximum damage potential vs mana cost. Lightning bolt is an excellent example. 1 mana for 3 pts of dmg.

Lately, standard has a lot of token and ramp decks. So, RDW has a very tough time dealing damage with creatures on an attack. Goblin Fireslinger solves that problem. No attack needed.

StarCityGames.com is a good site to browse tournament quality decks. I'd recommend taking a look at some of those lists as well.

If you stick more woth a goblin theme, you can use goblin grenade.

One of the beauties of RDW decks is they dont cost a lot to build and can still compete with decks that are much more expensive. Kinda nice destroying the smug, punk kid running his $500 planeswalker deck with your $50 RDW !!!
