Deck Description

Another cheap and fun deck, based on the madness ability from the Odysee block. There's not much to say about it. It's still fast, very fast in fact, and can deal with most other decks it is played against.
For mana it plays Bird of Paradise, which is also one of the two rares this deck plays. The other creatures are the Wild Mongrel for discarding cards and playing them for madness, plus making the Mongrel stronger. Then the Basking Rootwalla with madness 0, essentiel for this deck, playing a 1/1 that can be a 3/3 for zero mana, not bad right? The same goes for the Arrogant Wurm, 4/4 with trample for 2G via madness. For big creatures it plays the spell Roar of the Wurm which is put into the graveyard with Quiet Speculation and played from there, bringing a 6/6 for 3G into play. The other creatures are Aquamoeba and Merfolk Looter for discarding and drawing cards and the Wonder to give all your creatures flying.
The spells support card drawing with Deep Analysis and Carefull Studies, which alows to combine madness with card drawing. Then it plays Circular Logic and Unsummon to slow down the opponent and if the game lasts really long it has Upheveal to bring anything back to hand. Playing a Mongrel and some Rootwallas after that will end the game in any case to your favour.

Deck discussion for Madness

How I miss Wild Mongrel. I still have my block deck from back in the day. I have updated it a little through out the years, but it still remains the same in method. This isn't an updated version of it, but its close enough. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=100698
