Celebrating the upcoming film, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, I decided to build a Jedi Ojutai Tempo deck. Honestly, I was inspired by the card Graceblade Artisan because she looked like she's wielding a lightsaber, and I liked the idea of stacking multiple cheap, effective auras onto her. Eventually I added other Jedi to this deck: Seeker of the Way helps with life gain, Wandering Champion helps filter through the deck, and Shu Yun, the Silent Temple helps hone each Jedi's potential. The deck is also filled with nice low cost auras and spells that strengthen, protect, and manipulate the battlefield to your favor. This deck is fun to play and relatively cheap to build for the upcoming block rotation standard. This is with the ideal hand, but doesn't always play out as follows:Turn 1: Land.Turn 2: Land, Seeker of the Way or Wandering Champion.Turn 3: Land, Graceblade Artisan or Shu Yun, the Silent Temple or enchant Jeskai Runemark (gains +2+2 and flying and attack for 5) or enchant Glaring Aegis (gains +1+3 tap an opposing creature and attack for 4). Either gain life or discard and draw.Turn 4: Land (hopefully), enchant Graceblade with Jeskai Runemark and/or Glaring Aegis and then swing with a 9/12 flying Jedi that just tapped a possible blocker. Or cast a low cost spell and use Shu Yun's ability to grant double strike to himself (hit for 8 damage) or the Seeker (hit for 6, gain 6 life) or the Champion (hit for 6, discard 2 draw 2).By this point the opponent's life total is well over halfway gone and the deck's got a ton of spells that will keep him/her busy or on their toes.
