Simply there for an untapped colorless land that gains me a life. This was also made before Wastes were spoiled and has since been updated with the new Kozilek as the commander.

I actually did pull a Karn in the Modern Masters over summer, if I was working on this deck at the time I certainly would not have traded him. Funny enough, same thing with Ugin. Hindsight is 20/20.
Good suggestions, that could turn this into a Modern monster, if I'm to stick to standard this simple build works well.
I would run Anticipates rather than the Divinations, I know you could get more gas with the draw two but anticipate practically guarantees gas at instant speed with less mana to cast. Also Sphinx's Tutelage with all this draw going on wouldn't be a bad idea.

Holy shucks people! I haven't been on since I posted this since my computer was at the shop, but thank you so much for all the likes/comments/suggestions. You all are awesome! :D
A sideboard has been added!
Thanks for all the comments everyone! I have changed out the Swarborn Giants for Arbor Colossi like many of you suggested, it's over 20 bucks now but I still think it's close enough to be considered "budget". Keep up the suggestions! :D
You can use the new ones from Khan: Feed the Clan which could work early and late game. I also really really like Pellaka Wurm from Rise of the Eldrazi as a gain life creature.
Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to look into it! And ah yes, defense grid is the name of that glorious artifact
The deck is designed to go off the turn I get sneak attack out. Krosan grip could be very troublesome, but I believe the best answer would be the artifact that makes everything you play cost more on my turn, for the life of me I can't remember the darn name. As for the Chalices, there's an ungodly amount of 1 mana artifact removal, heck even red has an artifact counter so probably one of those. My biggest fear playing this deck is that I play out my hand to dump Sneak Attack just for a Force of Will or something like that to counter it. But hey, that's why it's a glass cannon after all. Either it swings really hard and wins turn 1 or 2 (sometimes 3 with the Final Fortunes) or it flops and someone stomps me.
I like the idea of Elvish Piper and Quick Silver Amulet but it's got two things going against them both: they tap for their effects (so only once a turn) and it doesn't give them haste. Good suggestions though! Just a bit too slow for this deck I'm thinking.
Still a work in progress, trying to figure out how to get out Sneak Attack quicker. The goal is to Sneak in a creature and double it's attack with berserk and swing for the win.

Open for suggestions on how to improve this deck, I had a lot more screw-bally cards like Goblin Game and Illicit Auction but I feel a more serious (as serious as one could be in this situation) control deck would be more fun. If there's a red control card missing that I should add, let me know!
Oh and the title of this deck: aggro*
I would add Abhorrent Overlord to this, like you said devotion is pretty easy to go nuts with and another demon to get out.
