Deck Description

So for those who do not know I am working my way into Modern and with that being said I wanted to try something new, unique, and different, a Delirium Deck that uses Death's Shadow, especially since the card pretty much dominated GP Vancouver! I wanted to play a Golgari Version in favor of Jund, sure this may be a tad bit punishing as we lose more one drops like Tar Fire and Bolt, however we still get Push and Nameless Inversion that both trigger our Delirium and can act as great removal!

How to Play

What is an Ideal turn 1 look like?

Turn 1 Mishra's Bauble Look at our deck keep card then Street Wraith cycle or fetch shock if we dislike, the cycle of Wrath or Fetch depends on what we see but both we want to do on turn 1, then ideally we play a Thoughtseize or Inquisition, thus giving us Turn 1 Delirium!

So what do we do turn 2? Well this depends on hand and draws, dropping a 4/5 Goyf is a great plan or even a 4/4 Grim Flayer to set up further draws! Turn 3 playing a second 2 drop and a one drop like a 3/3 Granlwood Dryad seems legit or if we have fetched and shocked twice along with Streetwraith cycle twice, and Thoughtseize 1 we can comfortably play our Death's Shadows!

Essentially Liliana the Last Hope is selected over Veil in this deck to rebuy our creatures and ensure we can stabilize and maintain Delirium against grave hate strategies!

Deck discussion for Death's Delirium

I think you should have more fetches so you can get to delirium quicker and can get below thirteen for death's shadow faster. In my experience having four of each discard spell is much better, so I might consider cutting two Dryads for the fourth inquisition and thoughtseize.

I agree with Maumau, you want more hand disruption and fetches. I would also cut the other 2 Dryads and 2 Grim for 4 Traverse the Ulvenwald, they are very good and let you virtually have 12 goyf/shadows, and give you access to a toolbox with creatures and sb options.

Ok so I made some changes I did keep the Frim Flayer in the deck simply because I see him as a powerhouse and a threat! Tell me what you think and thank you for the feedback!

Okay I think your changes really help the deck out a lot! I agree that keeping flayer in the deck is a good idea, though I'm not sure it wouldn't be better than including another color in the deck. I know you said you didn't want to move into jund, and I understand if you don't want to still, it's just that the removal spells and support spells in jund or abzan versions of this deck (tarfire or path, lingering souls or kolaghan's command and temur battle rage) are very good and having more shocks to get your life total lower is helpful. If not, I would consider adding dismember as an additional removal spell somewhere in the main or side because of the double phyrexian mana in it's cost while also being a solid removal spell. I hope this helps!

Looks better, I still think you can trim Flayer and lands for more cards personally, my best thought would be to look at the normal Death Shadow lists to see numbers, those lists run only 18 lands, usually have some bullets to tutor with Traverse etc.

For bullets In Black and Green, I really don't know, without red or white you miss out on Gore-clan and Ranger of eos, you would need to do research to find something similar, or atleast as powerful.

With what Maumau said above, most lists just play Red and White, it just gives a ton more flexibility and options.

I see potential for adding a third color unfortunately if I went Abzan I would most likely take out Death's Shadow and run Siege Rhino and Kichen Finks and if I went Jund I would definitely be able to maintain a better shock and removal package I am sure. Lots to think about thanks for the input and I believe atm I work on completing this list and hen branch off considering I am still missing my Goifs and a few other cards.

The red and white aren't for rhinos or finks etc. White is fit value traverse targets and red for Kolaghan's Command, tar fire and seal of fire for faster delirium and huge goyfs. Deck remains G/B based.

with Death's Shadow, Dark Confidant would not hurt, and your mana cost is decently low.
Does not trigger Delirium, but a huge card advantage. Other than that, i really love your deck, Black and Green being my favorite mix of colors. You made me discover Mishra's Bauble....a card i did not even knew existed......(shame on me).
Bitterblossom could do wonders too in long lasting games for defense purpose (and being an enchantment, with Grim Flayer, could help your Delirium).
Just some suggestions, because your deck seems really fun and strong the way it is now.

Not a fan of Confidant here, you want to control your life loss, Bob can be too risky in that case.
Only reason for Blossom would be in the sb for grindy match ups, since we are not playing Lingering souls or Ranger of Eos for that purpose.
