Deck discussion for Grixis control... or...?

Hello there!

I know it's a bit random of me to pop in on this deck after it got neglected so long, but I want to pitch to you an idea. I have recently created my own Grixis Control/Twin deck, sorta a coincidence that this one exists as well, except I was brewing a rather roguish idea. I want to use the card "Mystical Teachings" to fetch out Exarch, Teferi, and then using Teferi's clause I'll get Kiki-Jiki. It's a bit ambitious, but it totally works, and the process doesn't have to be so complex. Teachings can work as a toolbox solution if you can't win that way, and the sideboard can move you into control deck territory. Whatcha think?

Here's a list for reference; http://www.mtgvault.com/tmw30/decks/twin-teachings/

The only reason I'm self advertising is because I want you to see the idea, and it's hard to just say "try mystical teachings". Tell me what you think, I feel the idea has potential, but I haven't been yelled at by enough people with Splinter Twin decks (I'm an old school control player). Thanks, and I of course like your deck!

I really love the idea. Later I removed Kiki-Jiki from the main board because of it's greedy mana-cost, and of course replaced it with Splinter Twin. But now I want to retry kiki-jiki with your Mystical Teachings-idea. I really think it's worth a try. I have also been playing control for a long time. I used to play UWR-Delver, but chnaged to this deck just to try something new.

Thanks for your suggestion, I might test it the next time I play at FNM :D

Sweet, I'm doing the same. It seems so consistent! Of course, you can still run the four-of Splinter Twin, I just choose to play the control route a bit more because I find the games more interesting.

Regardless, I wish you luck, I'm pretty stoked to see if this brewing works.
