The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!

Just a deck I made with cards I had. Im open to suggestions! I want to make this a good standard deck!
Just kinda try to get the Nessian Wilds Ravager out as quick as possible, and burn the heck out of em. Again, open to suggestions for this deck.

If you're rushing for the wilds ravager i would say toss a few gyre sages in, possibly elvish mystics some other source of mana gen as well, you could also use signal the clans to attempt getting into your hand if you don't open with one, i would also probably take out the forgestoker dragon, but that's mostly just a personal preference and that way you would lower your're overall mana cost on the deck

ok, so what to remove? I don't need to have the ravagers if there are some better cards? Like I said, I was trying to make a good gruul standard deck.
i'd definitely take out the satyr wayfinders, pharagax giant and oracle of bones. Pharagax is a little high-mana cost, the wayfinders will more often than not put things you want in your hand in your graveyard and since you're not running a dredge deck that's not very helpful, oracle of bones is a cool card but isn't going to be helping you very much, since none of your instants/sorceries are high threat potential or numerous.
for gruul competitive there are also these cards about to come out in journey into nyx that you might want to consider...http://mythicspoiler.com/nyx/cards/blindingflare.htmlhttp://mythicspoiler.com/nyx/cards/setessantactics.htmlinstead of the forgestokers i would recommend putting in 2 xenagos, god of revelsfor creature hitters i would recommend Rubblebelt Raiders and Ghor-Clan Rampager, especially since rubblebelt turn four will pay for xenagos' devotion when you play him turn 5, if not earlier
this is what i came up with, it probably won't win you any serious tournaments, but will probably win you a bit at your local FNM tournamentshttp://www.mtgvault.com/pain42/decks/gruul-smash/
Thanks man!
sure, not a problem
Your deck is all over the place, dawg. I recommend picking if you want to focus on having a lot of creatures or dealing a lot of damage with instants and sorceries. If you want to go the sorcery/instant path, here are cards that you're going to want four copies ofGuttersnipe (For dealing damage to your opponent)Satyr Firedancer (For killing creatures while dealing damage to your opponent with sorceries and instants)Lightning Strike (it's a solid card, 2 mana for 3 damage. Use it as removal when you don't have a satyr firedancer)Magma Jet (2 mana for 2 damage, but the real treat is the 2 scry. There's no better feeling than putting away two lands when you don't need them)Flames of the Firebrand (One more mana than Lightning Strike, however, it lets you distribute the damage however you want, potentially killing 3 creatures with one card)Cards you want 2-3 Copies ofGruul Charm (Replaces skyreaping, also has niche use against steal effects)Oracle of Bones (Most of the time it won't be the mode you want but it's pretty good either way. Never play it with an empty hand unless you're confident the 3 damage from haste will be enough to seal the game)Wild Guess (2 mana to replace 2 cards in your hand with 2 draw. It's good for throwing away unnecessary late game land as well as filtering starting hands)Now, depending on how budget you want the deck to be, you can add things like clan defiance and other more expensive cards. As a general rule, you should very rarely run only 1 copy of a card unless it's an expensive legendary or something that you can search for. Having only one copy of a card means that in short games you won't reliably draw it and in long games one shot might not be enough. It's better to pick 8-15 cards to run multiples of than to have lots of singles. Now, if you want to go for creatures, a good gruul deck might look like4 nyx born rollicker4 burning tree emissary4 ghor clan rampager4 brushstrider4 fanatic of xenagos4 gruul charm (for removing opposing fliers or making other creatures unable to block)4 gore-house chainwalkerAppropriate lands (Gruul guildgates if you're budget, shocks and scrys if not)You want to make your draw consistent, you want your creatures to punch people in the face for lots of damage per mana cost, and you want to make sure your creatures punch past any defenders.Hope this helped.
Ya it did! I'm thinking creatures, and I'm budget, so would you mind putting up a deck list? Thanks again!
I mean shit the only thing missing is lands so 4 nyx born rollicker4 burning tree emissary4 ghor clan rampager4 brushstrider4 fanatic of xenagos4 gruul charm 4 gore-house chainwalker4 slaughterhorn2 skarrg guildmage2 archetype of aggression4 gruul guildgate10 mountain10 forestPretty much any cheapdrop creatures that are highly rated on Gatherer and are within your budget. The key you want is consistency, which means as many solid creatures as 4 ofs and 2-3 ofs of other creatures with useful abilities like skarrg guildmage or archetype of aggression. Ok I do not like forgestoker sure 5/4 flyer is good but for seven mana with a ability that's not that great. also guttersnipe with ten instants and socerires is ok but not great. Skyreaping should be in the sb and maybe replace cornerstone with either rurik thar or xenogod
