The goal of the deck is to get out the combo of Isochron Scepter with Silence and Grand Abolisher. Once these are both out (hopefully turn 3), your opponent only has a small sliver of his or her turn in which he or she can cast spells. If you activate the scepter at the beginning of your opponent's upkeep, the only spells your opponent can cast are instants in response to Silence. After that, his or her turn consists of attacking with any creatures you haven't bounced yet, and shuffling through his or her hand. After you have established that combo (really, you don't even need the Grand Abolisher against some decks), it's just a matter of time. Imprinting other spells gives you even greater utility, and since you are actually casting a copy through the scepter, Guttersnipe whittles them down even further every turn.Temple Bell is pretty useful here, due to helping establish metalcraft for Galvanic Blast, and due to the fact that you aren't giving much advantage to your opponent. If the opponent can't cast spells, you are just forcing your opponent to discard more cards.Due to all the instants, Delver of Secrets is a great contingency for aggro decks and provides for some early wins.Overall it's very fun, though it has caused opponents to rage more than expected. I think being shut down but not killed right away must be more infuriating than just dying instantly to an infinite combo.Comments are welcome!
Your sideboard includes substitutions for a couple possible opponents. If you're playing against a control deck, sub the Dispels for the Vapor Snags for some anti-counter.If you're playing a token spam deck, sub out the Vapor Snags for the Echoing Truths. Echoing Truth in a scepter is amazing at clearing away a wave of spirits every turn.If you're playing a combo deck, decide which element of the combo is most critical to prevent. If it's an artifact or enchantment combo, sub out Vapor Snag for either Leave No Trace or Smash to Smithereens.
