Deck discussion for 1 drop elves

now this is a really cool concept; however, i think leyline is kinda useless for this deck, like it does a lot for it, but will not do enough, the only thing i'd suggest into this deck would be overwhelming stampede for better win conditions

once again you need a bit more lands, yes you may only need like 18 lands due to the mana cost of these creatures, but 12 is kinda unacceptable

you have to admit though all you need is 1 forest to get to your other cards in the deck

I recommend 15-18 lands. I don't think the Greenweaver Druid or the Heritage Druid are acceptable for this deck. The Heritage Druid is nice but there are better mana generation schemes. Omnath should be reduced to 1 unless you plan to use him as a sacrifice-style monster because he is legandary.

You should run Joraga Warcallers to make all your elves super powered and Ezuri Renegade Leader's as "overrun" that can be used as many times a turn as you tap for the effect. The deck is set up nicely apart from this. The reason you want these 2 is that they're both elves and they make all your elves effectively 'bomb' cards.

I would recommend the higher end Eldrazi but you probably don't want to pour that much money into this deck.

~Good Luck!

i wanted i was going for a mana flood type thing and i put onmath in it to store the mana until you picked up a genesis wave or a overwheling stampede to finish the job and if you draw neither you just bash with a giant hitter that gets bigger every turn however i like the idea of jorga warcaller in here thanks for the adviced

There are 2 bad ways to look at Omnath:
1) Legendary - Only 1 copy is allowed on the field. Because of this, you have fewer bombs and your opponent only needs 1 blocker because he doesn't have trample. You have overwhelming stampedes but your opponent can use Protection from Green effects, Fog, and other damage prevent measures to make your trample mean nothing for that turn.
2) He's only 1/1 .... No seriously... He costs 3... Sure, his ability is amazing... no lie. But what happens when a Doom Blade, Go for the Throat, or any of the black/red kill or burn cards come flying at him. Sure you can play him turn 3 and tap mana to make him 4/4 but then you cant use that mana or fear being burned. There are too many ways around him and you don't have ways of stopping him from being destroyed. His abilities only stay while he is in play so your pool empties normally once he dies.

I like the idea... I'm fuzzy on your execution... Only half your deck is 1 drops? If anything I'd just say this was a fast deck that is not very land dependent. Since the other half your deck costs over 3 mana, you should have at least 18 land in this thing.

Also, try out Taunting Elf/Elvish Scout combo! Both are one drops and they combo to let all your attacks get through directly to the opponent without killing off the Taunting Elf... Neat little trick :-)

I've got 2 mono-green one drop decks... Take a look!

Heritage Druid and Nettle Sentinel would be a good place to start... Greenweaver and Boreal aren't SUPER helpful, but are at least a little more helpful...

Also, Nice addition of Gaea's cradle... Just be careful... It's legendary.

I think the elvish eulogist could be taken out for some wellwishers. I know this is a "1 drop" deck, but your not putting elves into the graveyard, so it seems useless.

4 Copperhorn Scout, 4 Elvish Archdruid, 4 Llanowar, 4 Joraga Treespeaker, 4 Arbor Elves and 3-4 Omnath

Those are what really make a mana deck work as they allow for massive amounts of mana. Tap out all your elves then attack with a copperhorn scout to untap everything and tap again. Now if only you can pay green mana to get another attack step... then you would have an infinite combo...

And when your hand is over? If you don't draw cards your hand will be finished in the third/fourth turn... So you gonna keep waiting to draw in the next turn and gonna lose the game, certainly.

If you are going to run Joraga Warcaller in this deck I would suggest running 3-4 immaculate magistrates as well. For every elf you have on the field, you can put a +1/+1 counter on a creature, if you place the counters on Joraga Warcaller, it benefits all your elves. I have something similar running in an elf deck, and I win 2 out of 3 times.

I would also get different tap-sac lands, like Evolving Wilds or Terramorphic Expanse and run them instead. Otherwise you are losing valuable life just for a land.

I think the benefits of Misty Rainforest and Verdant Catacombs are that the lands that they bring to the field enter untapped, where Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse bring lands to the field tapped.

why not use viridian joiner with an umbral husk for an infinite mana combo?

you could try imperious perfect may be. all your elfs would get +1/+1 and you can get a 2/2 elf every turn to.

What about coat of arms? it could make your elves massive! ( I have a same type of deck and works great with coat of arms. it is reltively easy to get out thanks to druids and such , and is always a game changer)
