the idea for this deck is a fairly consistant turn 3 or 4 win with a best case of turn 2 win the only real expense from this deck is currently the lotus petals (3 dollars each) and the blackcleave cliffs(also 3 dollars each) the turn 2 kill combos: ------------------------------------ 1. double painsmith ----------------------------------- turn 1: play a lotus petal + land sac lotus petal to play painsmith remaining hand size: 4 turn 2: draw (5 cards in hand) play a land (4) play a painsmith (3) play 2 0 cc artifacts (1) play a tainted strike (0) you now have a 10/1 with infect on turn 2 to win -------------------------- 2. painsmith + bloodthrone vampire -------------------------- turn 1: play a lotus petal + land sac lotus petal to play bloodthrone remaining hand size: 4 turn 2: draw (5 cards in hand) play a land (4) play a painsmith (3) play 2 0 cc artifacts (1) play a tainted strike (0) sac the artifacts for bloodthrone you now have a 10/5 with infect on turn 2 to win there are numerous other combos for turn 3 win, but those are the ones i can think of off the top of my head for turn 2 ------------------ additional ways for turn 3 win 4 artifacts + 2 painsmiths = + 16 damage + 4 base damage of both painsmiths combined 3 artifacts + 2 painsmiths + 1 bloodthrone = 12 painsmith + 2 vampire+6 sac artifacts 2 kuldotha rebirth + 1 painsmith + 1 bloodthrone + 2 0 cc artifacts = 6 painsmith + 12 sacs + 2 base vampire continue to mix and match as you please, there is a lot of variations here, bottom line, there are a lot of turn 3 win conditions without even taking infect into account EDIT: simian spirit guide can now often be used in place of lotus petals, as long as you have a black mana producer out

I like your idea but lotus petal seems kinda crap, Im guessing you chose lotus petal because it was an artifact, use somthing like sol ring or dark ritual, or both. You only need to run about 20 lands, so I would drop 4 of them. I'm not sure what your trying to do with furnace celebration, but I would lose that and put in 4 signal pests, and with the other 4 lands you dropped put in 4 more artifacts maybe frogmite or steel overseer or somthing along the lines of that. With painsmith constantly throwing down death touch, I would add phyresis a swell as tainted strike to guarantee you will get infect out early. Good start though :)
i ment to stay drop lightning bolt for phyresis, maybe throw them on the sideboard for now
Lighting Bolt counteracts what you want to do with Infect, this makes half of the utility of Bolt wasted. If you intend to use LB to clear the path of an early blocker, I would strongly suggest Flame Slash. The downside to Flame Slash is it's sorcery speed, but it can help get rid of slightly larger blockers early on and still offer you the same CC of the Bolt. Alternatively, Assault Strobe could also be a solid choice here as it gives you an alternate way to hit hard early.
I also don't really understand the purpose of Furnace Celebration. If your kill condition is Poison counters, why bother dealing damage? Perhaps in place of those, Teetering Peaks or Smoldering Spires would offer you flexibility.
the poison counters are for a turn 2 win, but for turn 3 it is uneeded the furnace celebration does extra damage for sacs, but your right i should prob swap it out lotus petal is a must for all 2 turn kills (and cheap for its awesomeness)
ok i will edit info for turn 3 wins just to let you guys know why isn't only based on infect soon, can't do it atm
added simian spirit guide, the simian spirit guide and the lotus petals have both proven their worth for me before in storm decks, so i figured they would also work well here
i am going to try to test this deck over octgn today, I will prob make adjustments based on that too and update after
