Modern format is probably the best thing to happen to MTG in a while.. I've seen a lot of discard decks that don't seem to quite have the right tempo.. I play a lot of multiplayer, and this will suit 1v1 or multiplayer, and it cranks out consistent 4th turn wins, and is modern legal.. It is fairly aggresively paced, but can also hold its own mid-late game if slowed vs control etc..
Rakdos Signet - The ravnica signets are extremely over-looked as mana accelerator/fixers.. Combined with dark ritual, it allows a 1st turn Liliana's Caress, & 3 mana on T2 (which his heavily weighted in this deck) and is an awesome mana filter.
Lotus Bloom - Forgot about this card.. It's taking over from 2 x signets which i had previously.. I've gone with it, if you draw it in your opening hand, it is amazing, and since i have Bolas and Cruel Ultimatum, it helps crank them out by 4th turn, or have open mana available mid-game.
Sedraxis Specter - A specter, with unearth.. If you choose not to drop it asap, it can be left in the hand and force discarded with wheel of fate for a cheeky unearth.
Sangromancer - Amazing.. If you get her out, you'll have an amazing life total in no time = survivability..
Spiteful Visions - Fills hands for discard, synergises with Burning Inquiry, Wistful Thinking & Wheel of Fate.. Can be dangerous if your life total is low, but your opponent should feel this more than you, especially if you have Sangromancer out.
Megrim - Not as good as Caress, but, 4 x Caress just isn't heavy enough.. combines well with Ritual also.
Quest for the Nihil Stone - The game should be ended by the time this is fueled up, however, in a game of empty hands where you cant get Spiteful Visions out, it works a treat.
Liliana's Caress - Nuff said..
Wheel of Fate - Suspend this on turn 2, and you should have some enchantment presence on the field by the time it goes off.. Fuels hands, cheap, make sure not to suspend it if you cant empty your hand in time.
Bolas - Why not? =p can come out as early as T4, if so, GG..
Wistful Thinking - Wow..
Blightning - Wow..
Cruel ultimatum - Game ender, can be played as early as T4, good against decks that exhaust their counters on your main discard engine..
Burning Inquiry - Wow..
Dark Ritual - Accels the deck like Fark.. Priceless, and always useful..
