Can be pretty crazy with a good draw.. T1: Bolt T2: Liliana's Caress T3: Liliana's Caress, Burning Inquiry T4: Blightning, GAME This is a pretty common scenario, if not, a megrim with chandra's spitfire in play when they discard buffs it like mad and then it can finish the job usually =) Thoughts on: Painful Quandry, Kiln Fiend, Sign in Blood, Pyretic Ritual, and other cards you would consider =D Cheers

hey dude, yeah this deck is near identical to mine and it totally pwns!!! However, i would recommend cards like painful quandry and duress! Pianful Quandry is like perfect for ure deck. Either way they will lose life. And if u have 2x liliana's caress on the field, they will either lose 4 or 5 life each turn. So that is my main recommendation. Dont put kiln fiend in there cuz it is identical to the spitfire. I would recommend however ball lightning or even goblin guide. Fast powerful creatures to add to the deck. good luck!

actually i think kiln fiend is strictly better than spitfire because all you have to do is play spells and it gets bigger. you don't have to do them damage for it to work (which means you don't have to have a megrim in play) goblin guide is probably the best turn-1 play available to you though. it's super-sweet and i would argue better than the spitfire or the kiln fiend. 2 damage straight out the bat is amazing. and also i would definitely drop mind rot for Skullscorch. bloodchief ascension is amazing and could potentially even be included instead of megrim. breaking point is a sweet-sweet removal spell to help your board position (or damage your opponent WAY above the curve in terms of mana) so it's a huge win-win card. browbeat can be a great utility card in this deck. you can play it on yourself to either damage your opponent or draw cards, or in the late game when you've got enough mana, you can make your opponent draw cards before you hit them with a discard spell to finish them off. it's brilliant. wheel of fate is astoundingly good here. it makes your opponent discard their hand (about the same turn as tyrannize would hit) but it also refills their hand so they're wide open to discard. it also refills YOUR hand full of those tasty discard spells you probably need round about turn 6 when you're running out of steam. it should be an automatic 4-of in this deck. but yeah. i love discard decks. they are sweeeeeet.
Thanks for the suggestions, il chop and change it a bit and see how it works =)
Pretty sweet, and a lot more stable than most discard decks I see. Includes one of my favourite spells even(blightning), which is sadly absent from a lot of discard decks... Overall 8.7/10
yeah i agree. However take away the sign in blood. It is not necessary in the deck unless u hav an Underworld Dreams. But yeah gr8 deck, probs exchange the spitfries for the fiends and maybe even put some Chandra Ablaze's due to her 2nd ability which allows u to make the opponent discard their whole hadn thud doing easily 5-10 damage.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=111476 please comment ppl i need serious help wif my burn deck!!!!
@ jnathwani, I have Kederect parasites which are underworld dreams on legs, 3 cmc for UD just didn't fit the mana curve so for 1 mana they make sign in blood usable as they ping the drawer.. sign in blood also fills they're hand for discard (or mine) and drains them for 2 so it's fairly useful.. Chandra Ablaze would work nice =) but by 6th turn it's usually game, but if im against control etc she would be nice, cheers all
Just had another play test: T1 - Goblin Guide (2dmg) T2 - Kederekt Parasite, Bolt (3dmg) + (2dmg) + (1dmg) <--- On opponent's turn T3 - Liliana's Caress, Burning Enquiry (6life) + (3dmg) + (2dmg) + (1dmg) <---- On opponent's turn GAME This is assuming Goblin guide gets to hit every turn etc.. But still, a T3 win for a deck that was extended a little while ago is pretty good =) Also I prefer spitfire over kiln fiend, just because i'm dealing separate sources of damage more-so than playing instant and sorceries.. for example, having a megrim and kederekt in play while using burning inquiry buffs spitfire to a 19/3, which can be brutal
