Deck discussion for G/R werewolf

Huntmaster doesn't work very well with Immerwolf because you WANT him to keep transforming and forcing your opponents to be in a bad position each time he might.

Kessig Cagebreakers aren't a very good fit here either because werewolves are very stompy and the sooner you smash face, the better. Graveyard needs to be filled a bit for the breakers to do their job to the fullest extent.

Instigator Gang is a perfect fit into this deck as they can buff your attack while sitting back on defense until you go full throttle swing.

Naturalize is more of a sideboard card imho, as they could be dead cards in your hand all game.

I don't mean to sound too critical, I just like my werewolves and have explored quite a few options lol. +1 for you!

Heres my werewolf deck:

Its constantly under construction, any decks I post on here I have access to all cards listed, not what I am trying to achieve, so they are constantly evolving into better decks.

Here's a response to the Huntmaster - Immerwolf relationship.
"Getting 6 power spread across 2 creatures, 2 life, and 1 Shock effect all for only 4 mana is a fantastic deal." Said by nickbooth
Its still an effective card even if it can't flip.

And also bug1372, check out my werewolves and see what you think.

The reason Kessig Cagebreakers are in here is for facing control decks. By the time i get him out against control I'm going to have a decent amount of creatures in the graveyard.

The Naturalize part of it. ill probably sideboard and put in 2 Instigator Gangs, 2 Wolfbitten Captives. Maybe I don't know. Any thoughts on that move?

Or maybe instead of Wolfbitten Captives go with Crushing Vines.

Yeah matygh7, I'm not saying Huntmaster won't work, hes still awesome regardless, all I was stating was that he can't keep flip flopping and wrecking havac to his full potential.

I would say maybe swap out the Garruk's as well, he runs kind of slow in this kind of tempo-based aggression. The faster you can get some wolves on the table and transformed, the better. Dropping a Garruk on the table on turn 4 when you can drop a Mondronen Shaman or an Instigator Gang would be my preference, even moreso if you have an Immerwolf or a Mayor out by then.

The extra token is nice from your Body & Mind but I think the Feast & Famine sword would work better in this deck for the mana rampage and keep the board presence high, especially because of the trample on the wolves, 9 times out of 10 you will probably come through for some damage and then get to fully untap and drop creatures after combat.

Crushing Vines are a good sideboard addition, but the Wolfbitten's in your main deck will give you a better %age to lay a creature on the board on turn 1 along with your Reckless Waif's.

should I make Wolfbitten Captives a 4 of in this deck?

No I think 2 Wolfbitten will do just fine, they are mana dependant to buff for their ability, the Waif's are a much more consistant 1-drop.
