Deck Description

My take on legacy reanimator....

Spell Pierce=Flusterstorm

There is no iona because the group of people i play with wouldnt like that much at all lol

Hapless Researcher/Careful Study/entomb are in here to draw cards and put cards from my hand into my graveyard.
Brainstorm/Lim-Dul's Vault are here so i can control the cards i draw.
Daze/FOW/Flusterstorm are here for control.
Animate Dead/Exhume/Reanimate are here to bring creatures from my graveyard to play.

Oh and what should i make for my 60th deck?!?

Deck discussion for Dead Rising

It looks like a pretty solid reanimator. Very interesting choices for the things you bring back, I like it overall. I would see if you can get some advice from WnB though, he's the reanimator dude here =P

well i'm not going to use Iona or akroma because when someone where i live makes a reanimator thats who they use and i want mine to be unique. but yea i'll try to get WnB opinion thanks!

Hmmm, pretty neat list, and overall it's pretty stable.

I suggest cutting your Twilight Shepherd though, it's really been more bane than boon to me in my testing. If you want something like that, I've found Sheoldred to be a much better choice.

the thought process behind twilight shepherd was that if i use a card such as reanimate to bring her back i will just get it back because it went to the graveyard. or if while casting reanimate/exhume on her and they try to counter it i can FOW and get it back as well.

I understand, but as far as targets go, she's not that great really. Great for the counter trick, I will admit that's what draws pretty much everybody to her in Reanimator, but I think for that to work best I'd like twelve+ counters in my deck.

I'm just really going off of the testing/play I've done, but more often than not, the counter thing shouldn't really matter. Unless you want to go full out control, but again I find that works better with a bigger protection suite.

if i went fulll out control i would be betraying who i really am lol, i love aggressive control. its what i play best. if i were going to take this to legacy tourneys and whatnot i would ofcourse change up the mainboard. but as of now its designed so that i can win whilst letting the people i play with have a good time lol

Ah, I can understand. I started with Control/Aggro, so it's always been in that order for me.

And yeah, my style of Reanimator isn't exactly the best for casual fun games >_>

Yea Aggro/control is my order. Reanimator was the first type of deck i ever played against, it was my brothers made from cards our older brother had passed down so it wasn't that great. it was an all black doomed necro deck that was really good against most of the decks i built back then lol

I started when Rise of the Eldrazi was released, so I it took me a while for me to make anything I'd call good.

I forever have a place in my heart for some cards because of it, and have always made decks in a style evolved from my original deck, so I know how you feel.

I'm not sure actually when i started because i didnt go buy cards to begin i just used the cards already in my home.

I know the feeling, i'll always love skyhunter skirmisher and test of faith due to their place in my first deck.

I think the only cards I've owned that will always make me smile to play, are Memnarch, and any form of counter. Memnarch just makes me smile when I nab something in casual magic, especially planeswalkers XD

Why don't you use Merfolk Looter instead of Hapless Researcher? Does the same thing without the need to sacrifice and then waste mana and cards reanimating.

Re: "Oh and what should i make for my 60th deck?!?"

I like your deck, maybe add one more hapless researcher. Just a suggestion, how about building a legacy deck for griselbrand?? or avacyn. That I gotta see. =)

I just have to say this, OMG, check out the LOW cost of the deck! Have magic really gone that insane with prices? 11k (more than what my car is worth)

The prices caught my eye too. They go kinda overboard thou, because ppl feed mtgvault with information about cards with special art and all that. They cost like thousands and f up the average prices :E
