Deck Description

Here is a nice Experiment coming your way, fellow Bioscientists!
This is a creature-based budget deck featuring the Simic guild and their lovely +1/+1 counter synergies!
Enjoy and comment if you like to give some feedback!

sideboard = maybeboard

note that farseek would be much better with a single breeding pool in the deck, so if you happen to pick one up in draft or by trading, put it in! then fetch it when farseeking.

How to Play

Pretty straight-up: play agressive with experiment one, geist and krasis. drop the guildmate for carddraw and to reenable undying. Fathom mage for carddraw.
Vorapede and zegana are your game winning threads. if you can'T get through with your zegana, bioshift her counters on a krasis or vorapede.
farseek is for ramp and manafixing, you will almost never need more than 2 blue sorces, but make sure to have your 3 green on turn 5 to be able to drop vorapede.
Bioshift does all sorts of things: reenable undying, draw cards from fathom mage, milk the evolve creatures or zegana, shove the counters onto an unblocked creature to win. it can also function as an answer to removal by saving the counters on a stacked creature.
rapid hybridization does crazy stuff with undying creatures and evolve and can also be used as straight-up removal.
simic charm does all the things you could want from a utility spell.
neat trick: if you cast simic charm in +3/+3 mode onto zegana in response to her card draw trigger, you will draw 3 more cards than you would do normally!

Rapid Hybridization on an undying creature. That's pretty innovative two for one. It'd be great if you did that in response to a pillar of flame or other removal especially

yeah it serves as a light-counter to removal, just as bioshift does on the evolve creatures, you still get to save them counters =)

Hey, you commented on my evolve/undying deck, so I guess I should do it on yours =) I play 4 hinterland harbor and 4 breeding pool in my deck so I get 18 forest sources and 13 island sources. With that you do not really need Farseek and you could rather put in ooze flux and the biomancer. (However you have a budget deck, and those lands cost a fortune...). Just one question, couldn't you just use the charm to 3+3 your highest creature, so when Zegana comes out, you will draw those 3 cards AND keep the counters?

hmm. you are right, if you play the charm on your biggest creature, its better than a stack trick with zeganas trigger. haven't thought of something this simple, always on the complicated side =)
thanks a ton for the input =
