I played an EDH deck with Mayael as the commander. My biggest suggestion is to get rid of all the non 5-power-or-greater creatures. When Mayael is on the board, you want to always find a fattie. Unless the EDH games you play go extremely fast, the creature rampers aren't necessary either. Each of those small creatures could be something huge and terrifying. Maybe the only exception would be Drumhunter, due to the card draw, and Elvish Piper, so you can cheat things into play quickly.

Mayael's Aria is neat in theory, but I never had it last more than a turn (my creatures often didn't either). It's an interesting win-con, but chances are you won't be able to get it to win you the game. There's better creatures/enchantments to use.

I also highly suggest Mage Slayer, Hedron Matrix, and Kusari-Gama. Mage Slayer lets you hit them directly just by attacking, Hedron Matrix makes your scary guys (26/26 Worldspine worm!) even scarier, and Kusari-Gama can lead to entire field wipes if you hit with big guys, and it gives colorless firebreathing.

Ascetisism is also amazingly powerful here. Your creatures are going to be the target of all sorts of hate, and giving them hexproof and cheap regen is critical. On that note, creature recursion is important. Reya Dawnbringer is a great creature for that, though she's only a 4/6. Marshall's Anthem can be an amazing spell to play too, since you'll have lots of land to kick with.

When I played this deck, it was mostly Beasts, Wurms, Angels, and Dragons. I loved the deck to death (Naya is my favorite 3-color), but unfortunately my group was very focused on field wipes and creature hate, so I usually died first because they knew how quickly the deck can snowball. Hope the tips help.
